Looks like Rambo has officially retired

Aaron Ramsey retires aged 35 after career spanning almost 20 years and more than 600 appearances for club and country; Ramsey began life with his boyhood club Cardiff before joining Arsenal and later Juventus and Rangers, winning six major honours despite prolonged injury issues and still without a club.

Aaron Ramsey has announced his retirement from football, bringing the curtain down on a 20-year playing career.

The 35-year-old made more than 250 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and played 86 times for Wales, scoring 21 goals.

He had been without a club since his contract with Mexican side UNAM was terminated my mutual consent last October, having moved to Central America following a second spell at boyhood club Cardiff, as well as a brief period as interim manager.

Great player in his peak but about time in truth as he went on for years with injuries and couldn't do it anymore. Hopefully he starts coaching somewhere soon as the knowledge of his career will help some team im sure. Hes set up for life with money eitherway. :bluescarf:

Totally agree.

Wish him luck and he was a brilliant player on his day, but he should have made this decision long before now.

He’s been great for his club(s) and a genuine legend for his country!

I wish him all the best! :ayatollah:

Loved watching him play for us.

Would prefer him to be our manager one day than Bellamy.

Good luck Rambo - one of the most skilful players ever to play for the Bluebirds.

Why on earth did Dave Jones not start him in the FA Cup Final?

Proud to be able to call him one of our own. Some special moments in a welsh and city shirt. Quite possibly the most talented player we've ever produced.

All the best rambo. :bluebird:

The game took its toll on him .

His move to rangers was one too many.

Probably offered decent money there and at Cardiff.

One of the best Welsh players to ever play football.

One of our own.

A great career. Some of his highlight goals are up there with any you'll see; on the biggest stages of them all.
