CROWD FOR SATURDAY SHOULD BE THE BIGGEST OF THE SEASON

Postby montyblue » Mon Apr 06, 2026 5:52 pm

Let's hope we can all turn up, i think the team need us to really push them with 100% support lincoln was a clash of top 2, but this in my book is the biggest and most important game of the season.

I don't think it'll be as big as the Lincoln game but I agree, it should be.

Well if we serious about supporting cardiff and wanting promotion the team could do with us showing up ,I cannot understand how any city fan could give this game a MISS.

Away, but disagree at home our crowds have been awful more than half empty stadiums, and the atmosphere for a team pushing for promotion and been top for a big part of the season,
Especially after such a poor season last season and playing better football we have not improved our attendances all season.

Based on our performances/results lately and results against other top 6 sides so far this season, has to be Bolton win 1-2, regardless of what manager says pre match. Outcome is different

My only conclusion if we only just manage 20,000 is that our fans
don' t seem to bother wether we are in the championship or not some ha e lost interest altogether, i know quite a lot say that's not bad for the division but it's not about which division we are in it's the catchment area bolton Bradford have bigger crowds than us and have prem teams and championship teams all around them.
We really have lost our fans since the switch from ninian park ,the buzz is not there it's not the stadium as much, it's the fans, when wales play there the place can rock

Monty,

Sadly their is so much truth in what you say and many then also can’t be happy this season as this Saturday should be 25,000 plus.

Bolton will bring 3,000 plus as they sell out everywhere it’s been said so that will boost the attendance

Should be more but I will for 23,500

Cannot believe we could only muster 19,000 in the verge of promotion

I remember some on here saying we’d be playing to empty stadiums and on the verge of relegation this season, if you remember?

I think crowds of around 20,000 are pretty good for L1. We’d all like more including me.

I grew up in Ninian Park, born a couple of hundred yards from the ground but our crowds there, generally speaking, were a lot lower than we’re getting now.

We’ve got three types of supporters in my opinion.

The die hards who’ll go regardless what division or how we’re doing.
The fans like we have now who’ll turn up when we’re doing well.
And the ‘plastic’ glory’s fans who’ll be there in the premier league.

It’s a fact and that’s how it’s always been.

These are the reasons why I’m surprised that some expect crowds of up to 26,000 in L1.

It’s reality as it won’t happen.

Let’s see if we play Spurs next season say 12:30pm live on Sky next season

I reckon 30,000 plus

Even in the rain and cold and more expensive

Remember I said this
