Kpackio is not why we are coughing and spluttering

Postby Sludge » Mon Apr 06, 2026 4:48 pm

Hes a young lad who hasnt featured that much this season after a loss in form

Poor game today but this Cardiff City side ...without him playing much... has been in need of Viagra and a few porn mags for a 7 or 8 games

There are plenty of other players who need to dig in for the last month of the season to get us over the line and both they are BBM have been dining out on a good season for some time now without paying the bill

Thank god Bolton have given us another weeks grace

He's been poor defensively for a while.

I didn't agree with some who said before that he would be better as a winger but I was wrong about that.

I don't want to criticise him too heavily because he's very young, but he was at fault for their goal and other chances they had.

He's not the reason we didn't win like you said though, we had the chances to win it.

I've said for a while kapakio isn't a right back his positioning and decision making isn't good enough and puts us under pressure , but he does have the ability to beat a player which is why I believe eventually he will become a right winger

I would personally loan him out next season so he can get a full season of first team football under his belt as he is not good enough for the championship yet and he's not going to get better by sitting on the bench for us

I really think BBM has missed a trick by not playing him in Tanner’s position. He offers a far better end product, and it would’ve given BBM the chance to grant him a freer role, with NG providing a solid, reliable base behind. He’s such a big talent, why not let him grow into the defensive side of his game over time.

Who knows, maybe they’ve tried it in training and it hasn’t worked, but I’d have loved to see it. It could’ve given us a completely different option going forward as we seen from the start of the season, when he got assists and was full of confidence.

You mean Tanner who has one of the most assists in the league?

Yup of all the people to say no end product about.

The problem is that hes clearly got talent

And if we get it wrong he will end up getting offloaded and come back to bite us on the arse

When hes in good form and pushing forward I think he looks very useful and I think he could do a job out wide or in midfield

Watch his assists back. Some, like Rotherham away, were genuinely well worked, but others have been simple three-yard passes, an example, Turnbull puts it into the top corner, like Bradford away.

I like Tanner and really hope he comes good because he’s clearly got natural ability and the potential to go up another level. That said, I think he should have been taken out of the starting 11 in recent games. His final ball has been atrocious. How many times today did he get into unbelievable positions and show zero composure? One of his shots nearly went backwards and hit Robertson in the face.

I also think, unfortunately, that BBM hasn’t shown a real Plan B during this run. The younger players are understandably starting to look nervous, which is natural, but earlier in the season BBM was able to change games from the bench. If I’m being honest, over the last seven games he just hasn't had that same impact.

My argument was, by trying RK in a more advanced role it might have given BBM a different option!! Also then giving Tanner the opportunity to impact from the bench, fresh and against tired fullbacks.
