Craig Bellamy: “I liked how robust Dylan was and stood up to challenges, which is always difficult for young players. He was exceptional against some really big physical players. Outstanding.”

I thought he was one of the best players out there for either team & that we wont be keeping him for much longer the way he's been playing this season.

I hope we can keep him for at least one more season, his value will be far higher after a full season playing in the Championship.
But I think that's the best we can hope for, he's going right to the very top.
When he does leave I hope it's to a Premier League team instead of overseas, because that would mean an inflated fee.

I think if we go up he will stay another year , he's happy at the club and his dad told my lad that Dylan wants to be part of what bbm is building here , but I'd expect big offers in the summer , dortmund are extremely interested in getting him and were at the Wales game Thursday to watch him

Man City have been watching him for a while too.
BBM already knew all about how he played before he even took this job because him and Lee Riley had watched him when they were at Man City.

Fully agree, Ned!
Dylan Lawlor and Harry Wilson were the pick of the bunch on Thursday, along with Jordan James, who was kicked and bullied throughout with no help from the appointed League One referee!
He’s going to the top; and by that I mean top six of the Premier League or maybe even to one of the big teams in Germany or Spain!
One more year with us in the Championship will see his stock rise and promotion to the Premier League apart, I would expect some big offers!

Hes definitely going to be playing at a higher level either with us or someone else, Excellent player

He is an excellent player. I am well impressed by him this season. Maputo also has impressed me also. It’s nice to see that we have some young players that could actually go on and be top 6 prem players standard. It’s been to long since Ramsey.

Fully agree, a real Gem, great he signed a new deal around AUG last year, this should support a huge fee we should get, a full season in the Championshop will be great for him and us and like you say, think that is the best we can hope for.

Let's hope that if we get a big fee for lawlor we do not grab the first offer, and secondly will it be used to fund transfers and start building a squad of top players?
Or will it go to Tan's retirement fund, or pay off dalhman ,sadly I think the later ao again no investment in the squad.

Two things, one we usually end up selling cheap and second the money never seen again for Transfers

It is why I cant fathom Tan out! Surely there's 2 options (1) Reinvest any fee received from sales/ some team strengthening anyway for next to push on. (2) If not the above then cut losses and sell. Because a 3rd option of stick with what we got minus any sales, seems stupid as we'd be about where we found ourselves last season. Probably relegated again in a doom loop.

The problem with your thinking is that it's logical & I'm sure he doesn't think logically like you or I would.

Lawlor, 20, was up against a player twice his age in the form of Bosnia's captain and goalscorer, 40-year-old former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.
Dzeko, who is 6ft 4in, was one of several physically imposing forwards Bosnia had on the pitch as they chased an equaliser late in normal time.
But Lawlor stood his ground impressively, further enhancing his burgeoning reputation in only his fourth appearance for Wales.
"I liked how robust he was and how he could stand up to a challenge, which is always difficult for young players coming in," said Wales head coach Bellamy.
"I liked how he used his body, how he was able to step onto things. We know his ability with the ball, it's clear for everyone to see.
"Give him the ball and he can develop and commit the game but, off the ball and in duels, I thought he was really exceptional against some really big, physical players. He was outstanding."
Wales' defeat means they miss out on a play-off final against Italy and will instead host Northern Ireland in a friendly on Tuesday night.

Lawlor will be gone end of season, new contracts for young ones aren't for the benefit of the club, they are for the benefit of VT getting his money back.
