Well Bellamy you really messed up big time tonight for gods sake, Cullen and Harris why oh why, we now play a meaningless game against NI that has cost me £38 I’m not very happy

All on Bellamy that. You simply cannot bring on utter shite in Mark Harris and expect us to win a game of football let alone a WC Play-Off. Absolutely disgraceful decision making. Talks a good game but can’t walk the walk.

I did not believe Wales would qualify as Bells can’t beat the better countries only the struggling countries:

Firmly on Bellamy that, baffling subs and when you bring on players like Cullen and Harris you can't expect to win international matches
Fri Mar 27, 2026 10:37 am
Cya Bellamy talk a good game but in reality it’s been shit apart from the first game against Turkey and north Macedonia
Cullen and Harris should never play for wales again
f*cking disgrace

100% on Bellamy that was. Harris shouldn't be in squad let alone game time. He adds zero other than chasing a ball.
At least Rubin has ability to try and do something and he wasn't even on bench
Cullen for James was such a strange decision. Even josh Sheehan would have made more sense

Agree with much of the thoughts above. Bellars dropped a massive bollock (again) with his weird loyalty to Harris, a third rate 'striker' who can't hold down a spot at Oxford! And as for BJ, what a spineless tw*t he is, mainly did jack shit to impact the game and then polished the evening off with a dreadful penalty - he should be fined as a professional with that showing. Bellars keeping Koumas and fking Broadhead on the bench is scandalous. Brooks and James should've stayed on as we had ZERO goal or attacking threat - it was like watching City play from last season.
Fair enough that we also missed some great chances and hit the bar a couple of times, but you cannot win international matches with a third rate attack.
And poor old Ruben jettisoned from the squad because he's deemed surplus to requirements - get a grip Bellamy!

Who needs to keepers on subs bench .
Put young talent on in numbers and tell them to run the opposition ragged don't worry about mistakes.
The substitutions looked more like containment tactic , rather than winning .

Have to agree with everything that has been said. Cullen had the chance to clear that cross up field or into touch for a throw but puts it behind for the corner they score from. Koumas, Sheehan and Joel would all have been a better choice to replace James.

Can't disagree, he got it massively wrong last night but can't even understand the decision to bring on Cullen and Harris.
Even more so don't get why he took off Dan James and not Johnson.

Don't get a chance to watch Wales play very much in the USA as they are not on the same level of popularity as say Italy or Ireland. Yesterday the game was live of FS1 and I was so excited of seeing a Wales team take the next step towards the World Cup.
It was all going very well. Wilson hit the post, a super goal from Dan James who then almost made it 2 when he hit the bar.
Then it all went so wrong. I know James was tiring but Bellamy's substitution (Cullen) was a nightmare. If ever there was a time to bring on Rubin or Joel it was then. However, Rubin wasn't on the bench and, I guess, Joel might have been considered to be too young and not experienced enough as he plays in league 1. However, Koumas was sat there and he has a good pedigree and plays in a higher division.
I'm sorry Craig but you really screwed up.

Joel was the obvious choice as his box to box game was made for last night and would have occupied their midfield which basically had acres of space once Cullen came on. Not the only mistake Bellamy made ,but perhaps the most impactful one. On a positive note Lawlor gave another Rolls Royce perfomance

After Bellamy had taken Dan James off big mistake we started to go downhill after that but we overall I thought we played well for most parts of the game I also think perhaps Tomas should have started as well did well when he came on

I was as surprised as you considering some of the games being played, especially N. Ireland v Italy, as you say we hardly ever see a Welsh game.
As for the substitutions, absolutely awful. Mark Harris is never the answer to anything, if he's our back up striker then just put on another midfielder rather than him. He runs around like a chicken with no head & bottles out of everything less than 70/30 in his favour. Cullen was even worse than Harris, which is a hard thing to do and we had much better options on the bench. I don't buy Joel being too young or inexperienced when Lawlor at 20 years old was one of the best players on the pitch. As soon as it became obvious that Cullen wasn't working he should have been hooked off & replaced with anyone else, it's not like we didn't have better still on the bench.
It was obvious they were playing for penalties & why we didn't put on a couple of more experienced penalty takers is beyond me.
As for the referee, words fail me. How the hell did they still have 10 outfield players on the pitch?

I said to my son-in-law, even before we kicked off, that we would basically be watching Cardiff V Lincoln tonight and that's how it turned out. Bellamy and BBM are coaching 'carbon copies' believing that possession is 'absolutely everything' and you 'never' change the way you play. The problem is that this approach doesn't work against teams who have 'worked you out' as BBM has discovered. The only 'plus side' is that I am glad, deep down, that Wales won't be taking part in Donald Trump's Circus this Summer which he will use to try and convince the world how 'great' he and America is.

I was gutted same as everyone but how can everyone criticise bellamy .
Hes got a mix of premier league championship and league 1 players playing international football.
The only reason we lost was because we didn't manage the game well enough when we scored last 20 mins .
We went all out to win so how can anyone blame bellamy .
Its game management thats it .
He hasn't got a list of world class players has he and there were two players that just didn't produce on the night one being a jack the other now plays for palace .
20 mins of the game lost it for us but overall we missed out its not unusual for wales im used to it now but my opinion is i think bellamy and his team have done a great job with what we have just 20 mins of game management cost us .
If wed on italy at home would of been very difficult as well.
We just crave success and to be at top world tournaments we all desperately want that but its not to be .
They will learn from that hopefully but im proud of the team they did there best.
As for bellamy hes doing a fantastic job in my opinion
