Brad Hills - the player who injured Salech

Wed Mar 25, 2026 3:34 pm

Brad Hills, the Stockport player who injured Yousef Salech, has picked up an ACL injury and won't play for the foreseeable future.

What a shame.

What a shame.

I’d love to know if he sent best wishes to YS in any way but I imagine that he didn’t. Let’s hope this news helps Stockport slip out of the play off places ungracefully. Horrible club, manager and fan base :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I really tried to find sympathy for him... but I couldn't.
Hope plymouth manage to take stockport out of the play offs now

I was a 50!50 challenge and an unfortunate accident. I wish some of our player put their foot in more often. The games gone soft.

It was probably a foul but it it wasn't particularly bad and not really malicious it happens all the time. Unfortunately it was just one of those things as he fell awkwardly

Personally I thought it was deliberately done, but we can disagree about that.

But there are other factors why most of our fans won't lose sleep over Hills' injury such as the reaction from Stockport fans, no remorse from Hills and comments their manager has made this season.

I wouldn't celebrate a player's injury but someone above has used the word karma and I think that's right.

Would be great if Stockport fell outside the top six in my opinion.

Agree with this! Hills went in knowingly!

Professional footballers operate within split-second margins, and I have no doubt he chose to leave one on Salech with the intent to make an impact. Whether he intended to cause that extent of injury is beside the point. He will also miss a trip to Wembley, which is a real shame for him.

No doubt in my mind that it was a premeditated challenge though I doubt he intended to inflict such a severe injury. Don’t wish bad injuries on anyone but there is some poetic justice that he’ll miss a trip to Wembley and a play off.

I watched it over and over in slow mo etc definitely when he jumped with his forearm up to his chest and led with it and made sure he hit him with the arm and fell on him which did more damage it was cynical and I don' t think he even got booked the w.nker,
and that other muppet needs shafting for a deliberate elbow on davies and he did the same elbow attack with his previous club
