Substitutes

BBM has done a fine job for us, especially developing young players. However, without Salech we have limited options up front.
In my view Joel Colwill should have started with Kellyman upfront. That worked well till he squeezed Rubin C into the line up!
I accept, as Ive said on a few matches threads and other threads, his sub choices are limited, but it seemed obvious today that Rubin should have been replaced by Joel at halftime.
Taking off Tanner (pace) kellyman and Robertson (skill and guile) and and putting on Robinson Turnbull and Willock just weakened the team. It was a very poor choice of sub changes!
I am sure. BBM knows Robinson needs to move on, but he gave him over 30 mins today as we were on top. I guess he was hoping he’d get a poachers goal/tap in. As I recall CR had 3 or 4 touches!! (Nice “work” if you can get it!). Kellyman is a far better option than Lazyman (Robinson), and Robertson is better than Turnbull.

I dont think it matters too much this season as surely we will go up BUT it points to where we need to strengthen in the transfer window before Championship next year.

I thought Kellyman and Rubin were abysmal today. Robertson was busy but poor. Robinson I agree offers zero. Turnbull, Joel and Willock tried to make stuff happen. I left the ground downbeat, but I've driven back to Dorset and we are in better shape than when I drove home yesterday to Cardiff. We are just about up, but I get the way we are whimpering over the line is frustrating. Would be great if we finish with 92 points, we've been doing 2+ points all season.
