Booing at the final whistle

Sat Mar 21, 2026 5:52 pm

WTF was that all about?

We were all frustrated and disappointed today but the players and the manager did not deserve that.

Absolutely ridiculous.

We didn't even lose the game!

Entitled fans who wouldnt last 2 games in the 90s.

When did this fanbase turn so pathetic?

We're on the path to promotion. It SHOULD be party time.

We could be in Luton or Plymouths shoes now.

Pathetic support.

100% agree and you see it with the moaning comments on here. The expectation that we should just blow every team away is incredible. Blackpool parked the bus and their keeper was excellent. It's right to be disappointed but I don't think the players deserve to be booed for a 0 v 0. I can just see now on the day we get promoted people complaining that we didn't win the league.

It's absolutely fine to constructively criticise poor performances on social media etc but there is no excuse at the stadium these players have given us our most exciting season in a long time and should be backed and applauded every time they walk on and off that pitch

Another point gained on our rivals and the team were booed off!! Absolutely pathetic from so called fans, who have probably only been used to promotions and cup finals. Grow up and get behind the boys, not on their backs FFS!! :banghead:

Sadly, we have a lot of ‘entitled’ supporters, who think we must win just because they turn up!

The atmosphere is so flat at the CCS, it takes the players doing something‘special’ to get them going!

Today was an abject lesson in ‘getting behind your team’ and we (as a group) failed again before coming on here to bleat it was all their fault! :(

There weren't many and they never lasted more than a second or 2. It was frustration rather than more (IMO)

Re: Booing at the final whistle

You could see at the end of the game some of them were more or less out on their feet. Yes some of the play was side to side, but it wasn't for the lack of effort that we didn't get the win we all expected.

I noticed this at the Wycombe game.

Proper knobhead fans who are not helpful to young players.

Thankfully it’s a small percentage.

There’s a sense of importance with some of the posters on this board and they think they are indicative of the majority of Cardiff fans. They aren’t.

Thank God for Sven and Worcester who keep some sanity.

Definitely a different fan base than the 90s. Booing today and the emptying of the stadium after Wycombes 2nd goal Tuesday embarrassing. Like you say we are going to be promoted, crazy.

7 games left, 11 points clear of 3rd.

Pathetic that we are booing a team and manager that’s got us in this position.

Bunch of idiots who think we should walk any league we are in.

How about supporting the team when we are struggling as well as winning.

Boo loud and proud if you r not satisfied with the team, paid your money so fo it!

Re: Booing at the final whistle

Sat Mar 21, 2026 8:42 pm

Frustrating but the effort was there from the players
I won't boo personally but also wouldn't get wound up if anyone else did,
Most of the fans that made their feelings known, weren't there in the 90s, due to not being born
They pay their money just like we do
I competed and now coach in professional sport. If somebody booed or shouted at me, I would up my game and make sure they eat their words.
My opinion :thumbright:

To be honest it felt more like booing because of the lack of urgency we seemed to have throughout the game. Was more shocked at all the people leaving before the end

Re: Booing at the final whistle

I'm not entirely sure what they are supposed to do when a team like Blackpool just sit deep and stick everyone behind the ball.
They kept their shape and defended really well.

Some people need to start chilling out and relaxing. We're 11 points clear of Bolton in 3rd place with 7 games to go. Bolton and the teams around them are all dropping points and are not putting any pressure on us.

Let's face it. We're practically up. Barring a catastrophic collapse from us and Bolton going on some crazy run of form.

We need to take a step back for a moment and what a great job BBM has done this season. Way exceeded expectations . We're going straight back up at the first time of asking!

So many positives yet so many people focus on the negatives.

Spot on

For all those hoping BBM and certain players will stay with the club, I’d say don’t hold your breath after that. I’d get the job done this season, have it in my CV and have my agent making it known I’m available.

If I were them I wouldn’t stay after being treated like that. The whole squad and BBM have worked hard to implement a much better style of play whilst still winning points and spending a decent time at the top of the league.
I’d be saying f**k you if that’s the gratitude for 7 months of results.

And if that were to happen all we’d be getting is the usual “it’s the owners fault” etc.

What we have under our noses is a very definite work in process from a very talented and focused manager. After what we’ve experienced this could and should be the start of a renaissance of the club. Fingers crossed we get a positive outcome on the ES case. Allowing a change of ownership to happen, which would be for the benefit of probably all parties as it’s so toxic nowadays. And the breath of fresh air from BBM is complimented by a breath of fresh air from new ownership.

Really didn't like it. There were a few isolated boos at half time.

We were all frustrated after that game yesterday, but no need for that.

Re: Booing at the final whistle

Sun Mar 22, 2026 9:46 am

I wasn't at the game but we have a huge amount of fans like this. Always have....feeling of entitlement.

Yesterday was very frustrating but to boo players who didn't give up is not acceptable. We are on brink of promotion ffs

The booing was loud and highlighted by the radio Wales commentators at the final whistle.

Of course, anyone has the right to boo if they feel unhappy with the performance or result, but it will show how fickle fans are when the same people will be chanting "we're the greatest team in football, the world has ever seen" in a few weeks when we are promoted!

Re: Booing at the final whistle

Sun Mar 22, 2026 10:44 am

Yeah I thought the boos at full time was a bit OTT. I did notice a young lad (late teen early 20) boo end of 1st half. And I'm in Ninians stand. But end of 2nd half seemed a lot of boos echoed. I thought we been relegated

100%.
I said the other week the toss pots who put on FB how shit we are. Then when we win the same idiots are nowhere to be seen. But when we promoted they be posting about it ffs get a grip

think it's more frustration than anything because we did not score.
When Salech is back the goals will come flying in.

Re: Booing at the final whistle

Never booed our team in 48 years and ive seen some utter shit let me tell you .
We are second in the league and we've hit a spell and stagnated and teams since Lincoln have all set up the same way its very hard to break down and make opportunities. I was frustrated watching it bbm needs to break up play either go down the middle or get in behind or go direct just make teams think a bit more thats all.
It really mad me angry to watch it was painful i get that but booing a team sitting in a promotion position well id never boo city no matter what .
I will slag em all off in the pub though
