WE HAVE DEFINITELY BEEN SUSSED OUT

Sat Mar 21, 2026 2:41 pm

Teams are playing two banks of 4, sometimes 5 and letting us come at them and hitting us on the break. If we score early then fine but if not this today is what's happening.

The high press is all but gone and it's down to fatigue, this is what happens with a very small squad, also Tan not allowing BBM to bring a striker in January is finally catching up with us.

This could now go down to the wire. (hope i'm wrong) That was dreadfull today and the manager needs to do something about it ASAP.

The football world is now scrutinising BBM. Is he a elite development manager or can he cut it in the pro’s
No doubt of his coaching abilities but does he have the gonads for it?
In the U21s results don’t matter, the players understanding what the club wants does. Every opportunity is a coaching opportunity but this is about the win and we were toothless again.

I trust in bbm yes it's frustrating games like today hopefully salech will be back after the international break because we have missed him the false 9 worked for abit but has been now found out and teams know how to stop it but bbm will get us there I'm sure

The blueprint is simple now sit deep and hit us on the break and if Blackpool weren't so shit they would have won today

No plan b without a target man but Salech is back now thank god, we really need a couple of wins now to get a bit confidence back

It'll probably take Salech a couple of games to get up to speed.

Yea but even from the bench it gives us a different option in games like today when we're struggling to break a team down

Did Exeter suss us out then? Did going down to 10 men not help Wycombe? People are so quick to turn on BBM. We have hit a patch of poor form with a very young team. We need our no 9 striker back. Salech would have been vital today. Of course fans are worried but this not going to the wire just yet. Still at least 8 points clear and we have Bolton at home.

Exeter didn't play with a low block neither did Doncaster, the last 3 home games they have and we can't play through it,

Away games suit us a bit more as teams come out a lot more than at home

I'm talking about playing at HOME, away is totally different because home teams have to come at us.

Agree with this.

Today wasn't good but I don't think we've been sussed.

Our last three home games:

Lincoln - they're top of the league

Wycombe - red cars killed us

Today - admittedly not good enough

Lincoln 2 up. Unbeaten in 21 matches

I know Salech is out but why do we try to walk the ball into the net?
Crosses after crosses no one there and when there nobody that can header the ball.
Cut the ball back get a shot off. Get some shots off around the box.
Also, instead of going side to side mix it up play through the middle there was space today between Blackpool but they kept going side to side.
Very frustrating day again.
At least we got a point. :old: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I've been saying it for ages when teams do this we have no answer except play the same way BBM does not have another system which I find a bit bizarre as you have to adjust during games not keep going nowhere down the side lines , back and sideways and repeat.

Sussed weeks on end ago from teams who have done there homework as they know we have nothing in the middle on the center halfs shoulders to have a go. They let us tap tap tap tap it about down the flanks, backwards and sideways for a Reason now without any press on us while sitting on the edge of there box in two narrow banks because of this. It results in long shots to row Z.

This is where Joe colwill comes into the side direct running at defenders reminds me of steven Gerrard he did the same for Liverpool.

Agree with this.

I’m a big fan of Rubin but Joel needs to be brought back in for a run of games.

He always looks forward whether to pass the ball or run with it.

Agree! I’m expecting a gentle reintroduction to the team for him and he may be a tad tentative going into certain challenges for a little while; particularly given he’s not the most physical of centre forwards!

Great to have him back though, and he will make a difference because he draws defenders away from our other attackers to open up the box a little more! :ayatollah:

Honestly I don't think the time was right to chuck Rubin back in.

It reminds me of when Sean Morrison had his appendix out and was thrust back in but wasn't at match readiness.

It was slightly different as we were struggling for leadership then and under the cosh.
But with Rubin out we had been playing well and had established a way of playing with Kellyman up top and Joel behind him

Now rubin is in. If he plays 10 he doesny drive in like Joel does. And if he plays false 9 we may as well have no one up top.

I'm in no means knocking him personally. I think he's a great player and clearly wants to do well for his team mates.

But I don't think he or our structure were ready for him to be first name down on the team sheet.

He should have been kept on the bench longer and gradually reintroduced after they had found a way to accomodate him with Kellyman. Or we have to play robbo up top.
