I remember well.

Why did he stop?

Hi Annis - he got married and has 2 young children. He now runs an under 8 football team in Somerset - so cannot get to the games - but still a big supporter and sees a lot of our games on Sky :)

I used to enjoy posts from Moz from Dublin.

Carls updates generated excitement too!

Not sure if it’s the way the world has turned but too many touchy flakes around now.
Too much offence, not enough banter.

We don’t all have to agree on everything, we each have our own perspectives.

Barclay and some others were getting mullered so I came on here less and less myself.

Carl always had his updates spot on. If anyone is missed on here, it's him.

Most others who disappeared were wind up merchants so were either banned or rightly decided to walk away.

And some didn't like losing an argument or being proved wrong so left. We are all wrong at some point and we all lose an argument at some point so it's a shame that people decide to leave. Realise I make controversial posts at times but that's because I'll always be honest in my opinion and I prefer it when people challenge my view so we can have a good debate - even when I'm eventually proved wrong.

But I will say that this forum is in as good a state as it's ever been. We have different opinions from many posters and that's a good thing.

I've been on this forum for 16 years and in my opinion it couldn't be better.

There were a lot of very fair objective posters on here over the years.

A lot just fell out of love with the RED debacle and others are no longer posting good debates for fear of rebuke trolls, sniping , criticism for saying their own views.

You know who you are

There were one or two who I always enjoyed reading their footballing analysis on City related matters, and knowledge,, Castleblue was one of them, but I believe, sadly, that he passed away a few years ago.

Some of the posts as well - the infamous 'Strange red light in the sky' for one - now I wonder who that was :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:
But this I swear, before you and before Almighty God, that when we go into battle, I will be the first to set foot on the field, and I will be the last to step off, and I will leave no one behind. Dead or alive, we will all come home together, so help me God.

Yes indeed, it turned out I knew his brother (Ian) very well and he was a class act in here! Certainly knew his stuff!
