Why don't the EFL do this?

Thu Mar 19, 2026 3:30 pm

The Premier League has announced that the £30 price cap on away tickets has been extended for a further two seasons.

Clubs voted unanimously to keep the cap until the end of the 2027-28 season at a Premier League shareholders' meeting.

The decision means it will have been in place for 12 consecutive seasons, having first been introduced in 2016.

I think it should be done through out the league maybe 30 for premier 25 championship and 20 for leagues 1 and 2 they really need to try and reward the fans who travel miles week in week out

It was 100% right that the Premier League brought it in. Remember our first season there and some of the away tickets were ridiculous, think I spent about £75 for a ticket for Chelsea away.

But the EFL definitely needs an away ticket price cap. Don't know if they still do, but Sheffield Wednesday used to charge £35 which is way too much when you can go to an away Premier League game for £30.

Leeds used to be one of the worst! :(

They must be tamping at being pegged to £30 in the Premier League!
