Started the season so well but have been looking a little vulnerable for a while now.
Trott looked like a Premier League keeper for the first couple of months but has shown a few nerves recently since returning from injury and is another in the line of City keepers who are excellent shot stoppers but not especially commanding in the box.
Ng has shown himself in the past to be a decent enough Championship player and Kpakio will hopefully continue to improve. Bagan should be good enough at a higher level but we need proper, competitive cover for him.
The centre halves really concern me. I don't think either Chambers or Osho will be good enough if we get promoted and I would get rid of both. We need more strength in that position. I think we need two strong centre halves who would both possibly start with Fish in reserve and I personally would like to see Lawlor tried in the defensive midfield role currently occupied by Wintle.
Wintle has had a great season and played a vital part in our promotion challenge but he has struggled previously at a higher level and I just feel that maybe he's just a very, very good League 1 standard player.
Lawlor is quick, comfortable on the ball and good in the tackle. He's also an intelligent footballer who could adapt to a new role I'm sure.
