A forum for all things Cardiff City

Craig Bellamy has named his Wales squad for the play-off semi-final against Bosnia and potential final against Italy or Northern Ireland.
Kieffer Moore has been ruled out but in form Harry Wilson returned for Fulham on Sunday after missing the last two games through injury and is available.
There are
four Cardiff City players in the squad;
Rubin Colwill,
Joel Colwill,
Dylan Lawlor and
Ronan Kpakio

Lawlor and Joel, not seen a lot of Kpakio

I think Rubin should make it too, but Kpakio needs time out to reset. He started the season brilliantly, but has been out of form for a while now - he's only 18 so plenty oftime for him in the future.

Joel and lawlor are a cert for me.
I think Joel will get a lot of game time in the future if bellamy stays, he seems a bellamy type of payer

If he's fit Lawlor starts in my opinion, Joel will be in the squad and rubin could possibly be included

Rubin is back to his best
And Joel Colwill def deserves a call up

Kieffer Moore is out injured:

Lawlor is a dead cert, but being unbiased, I doubt if any other Cardiff players would or should make the squad unless Wales have injured players to replace.
We should be chosing Premiership or Championship players who are playing well or have proved themselves in the past.

I disagree,Joel with his work rate could add something to the squad.

Why were the posts about Keiffer Moore deleted? What if anything was controversial about them?

Joel & Rubin Colwill, Lawlor and Kpakio all in the squad - mind you, so is Danny Ward, so...

No Davies is bad.

Craig Bellamy this morning on Dylan Lawlor -
‘He’s an outstanding player with an outstanding future. He’s been used brilliantly by Cardiff City, they’re definitely helping us with Wales. I see a player who will just keep developing

Dylan Lawlor,
Ronan Kpakio,
Joel Colwill, and
Rubin Colwill are all selected for the
Wales World Cup Play-off Squad by
Craig Bellamy
No
Keiffer Moore, but
Harry Wilson is back, as
Wales look to book their place in USA 2026
Good luck all!

Huge game for us v Bosnia, and then maybe another huge game fingers crossed. Only concern is we are normally shite after the International break!

I'm surprised Kpakio is in, not played much.
The Colwills and Lawlor deserve it though.

Starting to question Bellamy a bit.
How is someone like Matondo getting in the squad, or Mark Harris over someone like Joe Taylor at Wigan?

He’s seen them play for him and did well?

He's the manager & you're free to question him but I'm sure he's seen everyone play & based his decisions on what he wants rather than what you think he should want.

Are Brookes and Rodon injured as well. Our defence looks weak.

Yes but our players are youngsters to be blooded in, none are likely to play apart from Lawlor. Kpakio, Joel and Lawlor are quite likely to be regular starters within the next couple of years. I would say Rubin too but he's never displacing Harry Wilson

Wilson needs to be careful where he goes in the summer. Contract is up at Fulham and there are many clubs rumoured to be wanting to sign him.
Last thing he needs is to go to a big club and not play, he had that when he was at Liverpool.
I hope he either stays at Fulham or goes somewhere better but where he's likely to play often like Villa or Newcastle.

So it’s okay for the Wales manager to have favourites rather than pick on form as long as they’re Craig Bellamy?

How did you extrapolate that from that reply because that's a hell of a stretch anywhere?
