BAD NEWS:

ISAAK DAVIES SUFFERS SET BACK AND AFTER SEEING SPECIALIST AGAIN WILL BE OUT FOR LONGER.

AND still waiting on Salech Cardiff’s Top Scorer as still doing light training and at one stage was League One’s Top Scorer.

So far Salech has been out injured for 7 weeks.

BBM:

“We’ve had two tough games.”

“On Saturday it was a difficult result for us, and on Tuesday we bounced back with a really solid performance, though we didn’t get the win we wanted. Now, all our focus is on Saturday at Exeter away from home.

“We’re very aware of how long the season is, and how many games remain, so we have to focus on Saturday’s game completely and without any distractions whatsoever.

“Exeter City have a different manager to when we’ve played them previously, so it’s a different set of circumstances. We watched the game on Tuesday and they’re similar in some ways but different in some finer details, we’ve prepared very well and I’m sure that we’ll do everything possible to win.

“The players have given me a whole new perspective on travelling, they love travelling together as they have a really tight-knit bond, and all in all it’s a pretty enjoyable experience.“

BBM:

“We just have to remain focused on playing the best we can every single week, and look at going to Exeter on Saturday with a huge following and try everything possible to win."

BRIAN BARRY-MURPHY:

Cardiff City boss Brian Barry-Murphy has issued a strong and heartfelt response after the alleged racist abuse aimed at Tendayi Darikwa during Saturday’s clash with Lincoln City, revealing the incident is “very much at the front of my mind”.

"The ambition of the dressing room is clear, I can feel it every single day. The players tried to do everything that I asked of them against Barnsley.”

"You have to take it on the chin, bounce back on Thursday, train really well and try and win on Saturday in what will be a great game for us."

Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the press following our 1-1 draw at Barnsley on Tuesday evening.

City took the lead early in the contest through Rubin Colwill, but his strike was cancelled out by Scott Banks, as the Bluebirds were forced to settle for a point.

BBM:

“It was a difficult game," Brian began. "We started the match pretty much exactly as we wanted to; we attacked from the first minute, were hugely dominant and aggressive in front of our supporters, then scored a great goal.

“We had a chance to extend our lead and dominate the game completely but we didn’t. Barnsley scored a goal from a breakaway, which can happen and the rest of the first half became complicated because they had momentum, had their tails up and caused us some problems.

"The players stuck to the task and created some good chances but not good enough to get a winner.

“It’s very disappointing in the moment but we just have to keep reminding the players of how dangerous we can be when we attack very quickly and get players into certain areas of the pitch."

The Bluebirds pushed forward for large parts of the contest looking to add an elusive second goal.

After recording a point at Oakwell, next up is a clash with Exeter City at St James Park on Saturday afternoon.

BBM:

"I felt late in the game we were very dominant again, we were very conscious of getting more balls into the box but in a certain way.

"We didn’t create enough clear-cut chances to be able to say that we should have won the game.

“I’m looking at our own team to make sure we’re improving all the time. The league campaign is never meant to be straightforward or easy.

"If it was, number one - everyone could do it and number two - it wouldn’t be as rewarding when you do achieve something.

"The ambition of the dressing room is clear, I can feel it every single day. The players tried to do everything that I asked of them tonight. We could have won the game quite easily but we didn’t. “

Cardiff City boss Brian Barry-Murphy has issued a strong and heartfelt response after the alleged racist abuse aimed at Tendayi Darikwa during Saturday’s clash with Lincoln City, revealing the incident is “very much at the front of my mind”.

BBM:

“Well firstly I’m very sorry that one of the Lincoln players had to experience that in our stadium last Saturday,” he said.

“It’s not something that I would want to happen to any player, so I’m very sorry for that.”

The Cardiff head coach said incidents like the one involving Darikwa highlight the need for meaningful action rather than routine statements of condemnation.

Re: BREAKING BRIAN BARRY-MURPHY: “ THURSDAY 12TH MARCH 2026

Thu Mar 12, 2026 12:15 pm

With ten matches remaining of the league campaign, Brian called for renewed focus from the Bluebirds as they look to return to winning ways at St James Park.

BBM:

“I think that there has to be an incredible focus from our dressing room on the next game and ignoring as much as possible what other teams are doing, because it really is all about ourselves, and we don’t need to rely on help from anybody else, from any outside people, because we can’t control that.

“We control what we do; how we play, how we perform, and what the players have done is put us in an incredible position to have an incredible end to the season, and that we just have to try our best to win on Saturday and understand that’s the most important thing.

“It’s an incredible club to be part of and an incredible team to be working with, I’m so grateful for what the players have done. More than that, I’m really so excited for what the players can do.

“They just have to remain focused on playing the best they can every single week, and look at going to Exeter on Saturday with a huge following and try everything possible to win. For now, it’s just one game at a time."

Sorry to say but BBM looks like a broken man, completely done in. A shadow of the man he was at the start of the season
