The past 2 games for me have highlighted just how much we have missed Yousef, we have done real good without him to date but he gives us another dimension to our game in and around the box. Fingers crossed he gets back real soon

Doesn't look to be coming back any time soon.

Probably another month I think. Been told it's a complex injury.

Missed him big time the last few games we have no focal point to play off and the last 2 games have look devoid of ideas around the box, we need him back ASAP even off the bench

Kellyman isn't a back-to-goal striker, and Rubin is even less, both need to be facing the goal. They drift so much is stopping us from playing.
It's Kellyman or Rubin, but not both.

Should have signed a striker in january for this eventuality,
but oh know we don' t need to.

100% agree. Adds something completely different to our game and gives the opposition something different to worry about.
His threat in the area keeps defenders occupied whether thats directly defending balls going into him or just by being concerned of his aerial threat. Either way it occupies them and give our wide players and midfielders more freedom and options rather than trying to work the perfect opening.
Also just having him as a focal point to knock the ball too is a big miss, far too often trott attempts a chip out to the wingers and finds either a opposite player or touch.
Hopefully hes not out for much longer, we've coped brilliantly wthout him but teams are starting to find joy by just sitting in and playing of our mistakes.

Plenty of us knew we needed a salech like replacement, it didn't show for a while as the false 9 took teams by surprise but now they've figured out how to combat it we have no plan b without salech

Not hindsight at all I said all along what if salec gets injured we need to sign cover striker for this eventuality

There were crosses that went in that he might have got to today.
I don't think we missed him against Lincoln, but there's an argument that we did today.

I think the biggest thing for me is it gives us a different option even if he comes off the bench, so when the false 9 isn't working we can switch it up and start giving there center backs a bit of a test in the air

Would have made no difference colwell would have played regardless, we not missing salech we are playing colwill. That’s the real problem only a few on here see that.

I agree with you about colwill is not a striker but salec has been out for 10 games and will probably miss another 4 i would have liked another cover striker for this eventuality in january especially as we new it was going to be a long lay off.

Are we going to have a "missed Salech" thread after every game we didn't win

We miss him all the time. If he's not playing, the opponents play a low block and hit us in the break. If he's fit, they don't know which team to start. If he's availabe we have a choice and can start with him or bring him on. He's 100% a miss, and BBM will want him back as quickly as possible so that we become far less predictable.

Of course we are missing our top goal scorer, you'd be crazy not to agree.
He gives us another way of playing when the short passes aren’t working.
He's the only player we have who can hold the ball up, to bring other players into play.

don't expect him to start games before Bolton.
I think certain players need resting like Kellyman who have filled the empty void made by Salech.
Our team is just stretched at the moment hense the tired legs.

We’ve got a mini break coming up due to port vale and Huddersfield games being rearranged so that should help.
