Reasons why we are doing so well. Credit to BBM.

Tue Mar 10, 2026 2:52 pm

Everyone acknowledges we owe so much to BBM for why we are doing so well. The fact he has turned us around so much from where we were last season is massive.

One thing that has gone unsaid I think, is the way he has managed the squad. Many have said we need more depth. Granted when we get injuries we are short. But we have a core set of players comfortable in their position but crucially they can play other positions well. That has enabled BBM to use his squad so well that whenever we have injuries or when players come off the bench they are ready to step in and perform at a high level. Thats been the difference for us on many occasions this season.

Thats why BBM is happy with his squad I think.

I agree, BBM certainly knows how to get the best out of, and utilise his squad

Some of his in game substitutions have been questionable on occasion but cant be overly critical with where we are in the League

Pound for pound the man has been a breath of fresh air on and off the pitch (had the pleasure to meet him a few times at fan events)

Really wish he'd stop chopping and changing the back four.

Vital that defenders form an understanding of the way each other play and the more they play together as a unit the better that understanding becomes.

Change the midfielders and forwards as much as you like but for me there should be a settled, first choice back four that should start every game barring injury or suspension.

Totally agree. What a ridiculous thing to say. Trying to push an agenda again. You need to be smarter Monty.

You can’t really do that can you. But he could become more positive with effort.

Worcester it’s recent results that matter and the rest of the season, nothing achieved yet mate.

Nothing hasn’t been achieved though has it?

It’s over a season.

As much as we can’t get too giddy over the success we can’t bemoan the lack thereof.

Yes but our recent form is really what counts at the moment & how we did 3 months ago is not a good measure of the next month while the last month is.

It's great to be where we are but lose or draw a couple more in the next month & that 9 point gap could suddenly be down to 3 or 4 points & then it's squeaky bum time.

What an insane comment that is.

If it's only recent results that matte, we just ignore the previous 34 games do we?

Plus, two defeats since December is hardly dreadful form.

It's points over the season which matter and that's why we're on course to be promoted - something that many on here doubted when the season started.

People on here seem to take offence for being called negative but it wouldn't happen as much if they weren't being negative for the sake of being negative.

If we’d had current form at the start of the season and turned it around to be where we are, we’d all be more positive!

Glass half-full/half-empty is a conundrum for many but not for me (and it seems others) as I would have bitten your hands off, if you’d said we could be where we are with only 10 games to go!

Some declaring ‘we are fooked’ after a loss against the (next) best side I’ve seen (Lincoln) this season and a draw against improving Barnsley (away) is pretty negative viewing

We have a decent run of winnable games now and I’m convinced we’ll win more than we lose (or draw)

Keep the faith! :ayatollah:
