BBM must take the full blame today

Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:10 pm

BBM trying to be clever with his formation was the first one. Scoring goals for fun and move players from where they had been successful! And no striker at home was criminal, like Plymouth away he had no answer today. Those who believe this side would do well in the Championship are on another planet.

He's got credit in the bank but yes, mistakes were made.

Nothing to lose our heads about though.

Odd decisions by BBM but not all his fault. The goals were counter attacks from our errors. Tanner had a very poor game on both flanks and Osho needs to be dropped. Bring back Fish and Lawlor. All not lost but its been a dreadful day. Away at Barnsley is the biggest game of the season now. We need a victory to avoid panic setting in.

We are not shooting enough, BBM have turned the club around But... when sides want to park the bus and hit us on the break we can't cope.
We move on hopefully get the results we need.

Big time today tanner been playing on the right all season put him on the left kelkyman out on the wing rubin centre forward cannot head a ball ,

Willock should have played left tanner usual right kellyman centre striker, rubin bench,
no crosses in the box in the air till salec is back

lincoln well up for it cardiff not the team and murphy let the fans down big time we missed a leader in perry ng today

I think he takes responsibility.

Today, he did what every English manager has done and just placed his best players on the pitch, even though most play roughly in the same area in the hope of them clicking.

Wintle, Robertson, Joel, Rubin & Kellyman, you can't play all of them. He tried to place round pegs in square holes.

In total agreement here. That was the best 11 available on paper. It might have worked against a worse team but they got absolutely nothing going and we ended up playing two of our best players out of position to get Rubin in the team. Willock or Ashford should have definitely been started. Hopefully it's a lesson learned

Agree with all of this apart from me being pedantic and pointing out BBM isn't English.

I’m really not getting the Tanner love in.

Yes he had one great shot in the first half but apart from that his delivery was poor and he has made losing possession into an art form and both goals started from him. It’s been similar in plenty of games this season.

BBM has been magnificent this season but continually picking Tanner is not in keeping with the way he treats everyone else.

If Lawlor is struggling I understand him not picking him but in, arguably, the biggest game of the season why wouldn’t you risk him to start ?

All that said, if we bounce back in the next game, as we gave done previously, and then beat Bolton we should be OK. But it ain’t over yet.

Sorry, beers kicking in. I meant English national team managers trying to force all their best players in the team rather than drop a superstar. Gerrard/Lampard and any number of embarrassing riches the current one has at 10, but Tuchel has gonads

No apology necessary, like I say I'm being pedantic but know what you mean now :thumbright:

Unfortunately you're right, Tuchel is a great coach and it'll be unbearable for me if they win the World Cup or next Euros.
