The loss today certainly wasn’t down to a lack of trying. The lads stuck to their core beliefs and principles which is what has got us to where we are this season, constantly looking to penetrate the Lincoln defence and create openings. What was evident today was a lack of an out and out centre forward like salach, who maybe could have made the ball stick a bit more, or given the bus confidence to get the fall in quicker. I think without salesgirls maybe the team are more indecisive, hence why the play in the final third let us down today. Having said that, Lincolns defence was superb, standing off and letting us have possession knowing we can’t hurt them. Something we saw many times under warnock. But like I said can’t fault the team effort today.
