"Callum can score goals at any given time. It's not easy when he's scoring less goals than he should because I'm giving him less time than he probably wants.

You can always ask players to do more to improve how they play, but there's virtually nothing more I can ask him to do in terms of what he does in training. He's covered virtually every thing I've asked him to do.

The feeling from myself is thinking when are the opponents most vulnerable in a game and to have him on the pitch at that time.

If you look at the Burton game, Callum did the high intensity and pressing in the first 60/70 minutes and then he had to come off.

And there were stages late in that game where I believe 100% he'd have scored if he was on the pitch, but I'd used him from the start and he had to come off.

Ashford flashed a ball across the box in the last minute and Callum would have scored if he was on the pitch.

He wants to play and I want him on the pitch but I have to have the right players on the pitch for the right moment in the game."
