BBM : “ DYLAN LAWLOR “

Sun Mar 01, 2026 4:37 pm

BBM:

Dylan Lawlor scored a remarkable individual goal at the start of the second half to double City's advantage. What is even more impressive is that Lawlor almost didn't come out for the second half itself.

Brian continued: "We were aware Doncaster press very aggressively, man-to-man. Once we were able to beat one of their players at the front end of the pitch, it was important we ran with the ball and travelled.

"Dylan took that differently. He produced a great moment for us that gave us strong impetus in the second half. He's had a knee injury that has been complicated for us. We felt he was in a good place to start this game.

"We didn't anticipate he'd go the distance and he has picked up another injury we're slightly concerned with. He felt his calf at half-time but wanted to continue. We're very glad he did with his impact on the second half. We'll assess him this week."

I'm hoping that because they let him carry on at the start of the second half, then he'll be ok.

They've managed his fitness carefully so if it was too much of a risk to have him start the second half then I think he would have been substituted at half time.

That's what I'm hoping anyway.

yes I'm hoping the same, just bbm saying "an injury were slightly concerned with" is what is making me worry a little

Possibly would suggest Lawler may be absent come Saturday, which would be a shame but we do have Will Fish and Chambers waiting in the wings who im sure would step in seamlessly alongside Osho.
