Get him signed up
Makes us tick
He will do a great job next season with Joel Colwill

Joel Colwill is definitely one of our players who can step up at Championship level.
Wintle very good again today but still undecided whether he's improved enough to be what we need there next season.
At this point I'd keep him but also look to sign a six in the summer. Small squad is by design this season, but we will need a bigger squad if we're in the Championship.

We’ll need him next season.
You could see how poor we were without him last week.
Let’s judge the players on how they are under BBM, not the clowns before him.

Easily the best CDM in this league. Breaks play brilliantly and acts as our glue in the midfield. He is very capable at Championship level but probably not mobile or quick enough for City to progress to be a top off Championship side again.

Classy player always was took BBM to recognise and deploy his talent .

Sign him up - no other player we have fills that role.

Of all the upgrades we need, the midfield is not it.
We don't have another player like Wintle, don't think Robertson is as good as the first reciver than he is the second one a bit further up the field. Wintle slots in as the third centre half when we need it, he is far more defensive than any of our current midfielders. He sees and snuffs out the danger. This role is for an experienced pro.
Looking at the running of the club this week, i guess we are just ensuring where we'll be next season. As soon as that's sorted i reckon all 3 will resign. By the looks, of it all are on 50% of their championship contract, and all three will get a championship contract somewhere if we don't go up.

Agree Wintle has done a great job. He has to stay.
But, the way I see it, most of the squad have been excellent this season.
The fact that the man of the match on this forum has been spread over just about all of the players, this season, suggests they have all played their part.
It seems certain that we will get promoted.
The question is whether we will continue to progress at the higher level.

All the players have been excellent this year but Wintle for me has been the mainstay.
We miss him when he's not in the side, and when he is, everything just clicks.
He'll be an important player for us next season if we go up (still cant bring myself to say 'when' yet). Defo need another 6 though to provide competition. I don't think any of the other players in the midfield can play the 6 like he can.
My player of the year.

Exactly this

Wintles proven he's not Championship level, after many opportunities. Im with Worcester; a place we should look to strengthen if we want to crack on and finish top half.
Having said that, he's in the chat for player of the year, so has earned the right to make the step up again.
Quality again yesterday.

Wintle has been poor playing in midfield in the championship ... However he is perfect in this role in this system, he'll be able to step up easily at the next level. He's great at tidying up, making simple passes and being positionally disciplined. I think Mafico is the long term plan for that role anyway

There’s a big difference playing in the championship under Riza or Bulit than there is under BBM.
He’s well good enough.

That's the valid point and the unknown - the BBM version of Wintle is the best we've seen. I'm not convinced though.
