MY VIEW: LAWLOR GOAL OF THE SEASON AS CARDIFF STAY TOP OF THE LEAGUE AS THEY WIN COMFORTABLE AWAY TO DONCASTER ROVERS :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff Fans were their today, nearly 3,000 and Backed the team all the way :bluebird: :bluebird:

This win and Lincoln winning yet again sets up the match of the season for both Clubs next Saturday and Hopefully at least 25,000 at the CCS :bluebird: :bluebird:

TOP OF THE TABLE CARDIFF CITY TOOK ON 18TH PLACED DONCASTER:

Rubin Colwill was a massive threat to Doncaster today.

But JOEL COLWILL My Man of the Match :bluebird: :bluebird:

A WELL DESERVED WIN FOR CARDIFF CITY

CARDIFF CITY POSSESION 57 %. 13 SHOTS / 3 SHOTS ON TARGET

DONCASTER ROVERS 43% 14/ 1

FIRST-HALF: Cardiff were lucky to go in 1nil up as Doncaster had a couple of excellent chances, but not a lively half.

Nothing really between both sides for the first 25mins., Doncaster had the best chance, virtually an open goal and they put it over the bar.

26mins: GOAL! Doncaster Rovers 0-1 Cardiff City (Robertson) :bluebird:
Goal! Robertson stunner! What a belter from the Bluebirds.
Dylan Lawlor has the ball just inside Doncaster's half and he takes a look and Robertson embarks on a run towards the box.
Lawlor clips an utterly sublime diagonal pass but there's still so much work to do. Robertson chests the ball as it drops over his shoulder and then lashes it past the onrushing Lo-Tutala from a tight angle.

Doncaster then had two great chances

Doncaster finishing the stronger team.

SECOND-HALF:

47mins: GOAL! Doncaster Rovers 0-2 Cardiff City (Lawlor) :bluebird: :bluebird:
Gooooal! WOW! This is goal of the season maybe!
Lawlor what a run, past 5 players from inside City"s half all on his own. He sees his opening, opens his body up and shoots from the edge of the area, low and into the bottom corner! :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

56mins GOAL! Doncaster 0-3 Cardiff City (Ashford) :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
Goal! Cian Ashford is credited with it!
Rubin Colwill does wonderfully well to beat Jay McGrath and fires a low cross to the back post.
Cian Ashford is wrestling with Jamie Sterry and it bundles off one of their legs and into the top corner.
Ashford looks confused - at first glance it looks like an own goal. But Ashford has been credited with it, I think!

60mins Will Fish replaced Lawlor

74 mins: Tripple Sub
Calum Scanlon on for Joel Bagan.

Ronan Kpakio on for Perry Ng.

Callum Robinson on for Rubin Colwill.

80mins. Tanner replaced by Willock

93mins Callum Robinson 0-4 Yes

DONCASTER ROVERS 0 CARDIFF CITY 4 bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 0-1

Cardiff City: Trott; Ng, Osho, Lawlor, Bagan, Wintle, J.Colwill, Robertson, Tanner, R. Colwill, Asahford.

Knew we'd bounce back from last week and that's the perfect response.

Lawlor my MOTM.

Sets it up perfectly for next week.

Lawlor is a game changer , saves a goal , sets up a goal , and scores a blinder , what a player .
Wintle solid as rock
The colwills awsome , Joel ran and ran and ran the whole game .
So happy for Robbo to get on score sheet
But great performance by every player , a great comeback from last week .
What a game set up to be next week
COME ON THE BLUEBIRDS :bluebird:

City played really well considering the pitch was so bad. Lawlor is something else, he could easily play CM. I really hope we can keep hold of him, he’s been the most exciting player to come through since Ramsey.

Very comfortable in the second half. It could have been 6 or 7. A solid team performance!

Lawlor as we said before is the best player we have had since Ramsey. Please let's see him in the championship and don't sell him for peanuts like Ramsey.

No arguments that Joel was very good, he's consistently playing well.

I just thought Lawlor was the best player on the pitch, even without his goal. Did very well with the ball at his feet and made a big clearance at 0-0.

Joel would probably be second in my choice for MOTM.

It's my guess that we will end up selling Lawlor in the summer to finance some signings of the quality BBM will insist that he needs to compete in the Championship. Though, I would love him to stay, but I can't see the club getting any money out of Tan for new blood.
Not sure what the fee would be, but likely to be 'add ons' involved.
But hopefully to finance at least three good signings.
We have to remember, we will have to replace Trott and Kellyman.
A big hole to fill unless we can loan them for another year.

Every team we play always wax lyrical about rubin today was no exception, maybe some people judge him to harshly as we know what he's capable of but today he lead the line brilliantly
