UK government has made a U turn on Enzo Romanos citizenship application and it looks like it will be accepted

I dont want to cause drama but if you're born in Wales surely you're Welsh and therefore a British citizen?

Anyway, the lad can play for Wales once more :thumbright:

I don't think that's not how it works in the U.K. unless both of your parents are British citizens. That's how it works in the USA, hence the term "anchor baby" that you hear thrown around a lot over here, otherwise known as "birthright citizenship" which the U'K doesn't have.

Quoting myself to say that the U.K. operates under "jus sanguinis" which is a restricted birthright citizenship where, in the UKs case one parent has to be a citizen or the parents are legally settled in the country or the child has lived in the country for 10 years which in this case I'm guessing isn't the case. Most of the world operates this way with varying restrictions while around 30 countries operate under "jus soli" which is to say if you're born there then you are a citizen.
