Tan and his muppets
Wayne Nash
Unfortunately many new grounds are soulless.

we are one of the few grounds in the country where the most vocal fans are miles from the away support .impossible to get a good atmsphere unless that changes.look at plymouth saturday only 16k there in a small stadium but because of the layout and the close proximity of home and away fans it was rocking.

Nobody listens to the fans and the fans reps should be doing what we want or at least proposing a meeting with Wayne Nash an asking why do we have the biggest segregation in the football league ?
,I would ask him myself but will never get the chance to ask him face to face why do we have to be so different, and why did the health and safety & security go out of the window for the chelsea game this is the sort of questions I would ask Wayne Nash

It won’t change unless we get new high profile enthusiastic owners. The current lot sucked the life and soul out of the club and we need someone to inject it back in.

That’s why I’d rather Bale and whoever his partners are. Getting a household name like Bale owning us would be a massive boost.

Completely disagree. Yes want new owners obviously, but I've been against the Bale bid from day one. Partly because of the fact Bale was just the face of it and would have little to no say in anything. The people behind him with the money would have the control and you don't have to look that deeply into it to see they would be no better than Tan in terms of investment.

The bid was also embarrassingly low. It's a nice thought to have Bale as owner, but not really that great when you take away his name from it all.

I also don't get the clamour to have a high profile owner. Surely if that happens then it will all be about them. That's not what I want.

The best owners are someone that isn't high profile, there wouldn't be a media circus around or are just a local business person.

Wrexham are doing very well but I wouldn't want what they've got, having Americans turn up just because of who their owners are and the documentary. Similar with Swansea last night, bizarre to see thousands go who don't normally go just to catch a glimpse of a music artist.

That is why I always preferred the South African bid in the summer and I hope when we do have new owners, it's not somebody high profile with a media circus.

There has not been enough pressure from fans to force the board to act. What is need is a we want our grange end back protest to make everyone aware that there is an issue with the match day experience. The sooner this sort of thing happens the sooner the issue can be addressed.

Agree with you Ned. I hate the high profile/celebrity owners of football clubs. I want a sports person who has enough money to run the club as it should be run, they don't have to be multi billionaires.

I was absolutely gutted when the south African bid was turned down. From reports, he is a sportsman and yes, has plenty of money.

We live in hope Tan does the right thing this summer and does what he promised and sells to a buyer who wants and can take us forward.

The stadium will always be dead, until we move the family end away from the away end.

What a stupid idea to put families and kids next to away fans.

That's great, but Tan isn't going to give it to him for peanuts because it's good old Baley.

We need to stick together as one, get promoted and then start again with the protests. Let's win promotion first and hopefully go up as Champions.

The next time Tan and the board are going to consider selling or at least evaluate their options is at the end of the season.

Agreed, but that's not going to change until Tan does sell.

I don’t understand the “I wouldn’t want fans to come just because of the owners” comments, I mean, our owner has the opposite effect, but if a celebrity owner brought 10k fans why is that frowned upon?

It’s better that we have 10k fans support and show up because we win a trophy, because it’s more likely we’d get a decent owner than to win a trophy.

There’s more than one way to skin a cow, and if we need to draw the crowds to bring success I’d take that in any way possible, and yes success brings the crowds, but without extended periods of hope and success it’s hard to see how we bring the success without another factor. Wrexham have that, what they have can’t be replicated, but that outside the box thinking is what we need.

Tan thinks he is the box

All about opinions, but seeing those influx of Americans going to watch Wrexham just because of their famous owners doesn't sit well. It was the same on Tuesday at Swansea.

I would personally rather have 20,000 coming to watch us who come for the team than have an extra 10k just to get a glimpse of a famous face.

Find it nauseating when I see Americans say things like "I've supported Wrexham since Season Two" - which they do.

Each to their own though.

But all fans start somewhere?

A fan because it’s your family team
A fan because it’s your local team
A fan because you enjoyed watching them play as you grew up
A fan because they win and are successful

And Wrexham add to that
A fan because our owners are movie stars

The thing is, even if Wrexham gets sold, its fanbase will likely keep 50% of the glory fans, at least for the short term. If they can add success to that they’ll hold onto them and potentially grow, even without the celebrity owners.

I don’t particularly want what Wrexham have, clearly Swansea do, but to fill the stadium you need an inspiring owner and that is something we simply do not have.

We are in league 1, we could win every game but we at the end of the day are in league 1. It’s not an inspiring journey we’ve been on.

The topic was how can we defend our owner, we can’t. Apart from the money he pumps in, and most of which is because of his own mismanagement, he brings nothing else.

The celebrity’s at Wrexham have brought stability, growth, financial independence and a promising future. So if a celebrity came and did the same for our club, whether it’s Bale at the forefront or anyone else, it would be a solid foundation to build upon

It depends what you mean by an inspiring owner.

A celebrity owner? Not for me.

An owner like Forest? Definitely not.

Those clubs are successful but I wouldn't want all that comes with that type of owner.

An owner that the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford etc have? That's the dream. Those clubs are punching above their weight but I couldn't tell you who owns them and that's a good thing in my view.

I personally don't think your argument that a fan starts anywhere applies to people who support a team because they've watched a documentary or are a fan of an actor.

Good luck to Wrexham, it's working very well for them. No animosity towards them because I don't see them as rivals because although they're in Wales, they're not really local rivals to us.

Just saying that I wouldn't personally want something like that for us.

The Wrexham model can’t be copied, as it will always be a copy of it and never do as well.

The fact they have celebrities as owners doesn’t mean those celebrities had unlimited money to plough into the club. They, along with their connections, have made Wrexham go from a club making barely £1m revenue to a club getting over £50m, over 50% of that comes from the US.

It’s a successful model, our owner has more money than them, yet look where that’s got us over the time he’s been here. Poor decisions over and over again, even the “good decision” of expanding the stadium capacity he fucked up with red seats. His choices have constantly isolated fans, rather than draw them in.

If I went to Dortmund on a holiday I’d probably want to watch a game at their stadium for the experience. I’m not a fan of theirs, but the tickets and match day would appeal to me. If people come to Cardiff, they’re more likely to go for a random Welsh rugby match, yet people travel to Wrexham on the basis of the series.

If you don’t want to class them as fans that’s fine, but they generate money to the club that the “true fans” benefit from massively, look at where they are it’s hard to deny they’ve done fantastic there

The stadium was dead before Tan so not sure how that works?

Nash has been at Cardiff since 1989 so not sure how he is the blame for the current situation.
