The proposed takeover of Sheffield Wednesday by The Bord Consortium has collapsed.
They say the withdrawal is because they have new information that shows the club is worth significantly less than the offer they made.
The Consortium entered exclusive talks to buy the club nine weeks ago, when they were named as the preferred bidder.

Its very sad for such a historic club with a big fan base .
And such a great name Wednesday its such a great football sounding name like Accrington Stanely .
I hope they recover .

Simon Jordan was commenting on this on TalkSport earlier. He's scratched the surface and said that the (something like) £53Million valuation is a disgrace for what's "under the bonnet" at the club.
Surely a club this big can find an owner.
