Omari Kellyman makes Cardiff City transfer admission after reading fans’ social media posts

Omari Kellyman has admitted he’s seen Cardiff City supporters urging him to stay — but says his long-term ambition is still to break through at Chelsea.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, currently on loan, has been one of the standout performers as the Bluebirds push for promotion from League One. Kellyman has hit a rich vein of form, scoring three goals and registering one assist in his last six appearances, quickly becoming a fan favourite in South Wales.

Supporters have taken to social media calling for the club to bring him back next season — and beyond — something Kellyman has openly acknowledged. While he’s focused on helping City achieve their goals this campaign, he’s been clear that his ultimate aim remains establishing himself at Chelsea.

For now, Bluebirds fans are enjoying every minute — and making their feelings loud and clear.

A tidy player but don't think he would ever get in the Chelsea side regularly :bluebird:

Would be worth investing in him.

Let’s be candid, Kellyman at this level ..and probably Championship is a decent act. Playing in the the Premier League on a fairly ‘regular basis’ is different gravy. I applaud Kellymans focus and determination to secure a Chelsea place but looking at the immense wealth of talent they possess i can only see him fighting a tough battle ahead. We will never the less enjoy his talent whilst he is with us.

I think he will have a career at Premier League level, maybe not Chelsea but somewhere like Brentford or Fulham

Some people live in cloud cuckoo land.

Chelsea paid £19m for him in 2024. Even if he did want to sign for Cardiff permanently and Chelsea were willing to sell him, they will want to recoup most of that transfer fee, so where is the money coming from to sign him?

The best we can hope for is we get promoted and Chelsea agree to loan him to us again next season in the championship. That would be great for all parties.
