Updated: Why are we Cardiff City not already doing this ?

Mon Feb 23, 2026 8:06 pm

Updated 26th February 2026

Bolton have now Sold 11,700 Season Tickets for Next Season and they are not even in the Top 2

Yet Cardiff are in way better position than Bolton Wanderers ?

What do the CEO & Chairman Do?

BOLTON WANDERERS FC:

Bolton Wanderers have now sold over 9,000 season tickets for the 2026/27 campaign!

That’s after more than 16,000 season tickets were snapped up for this season

Unreal backing from the Trotters faithful — loyalty that never fades

To be honest, I don't see much point in us putting season tickets on sale yet.

Late March would be the best time, when we're likely to be on the verge of promotion. That would bring a wave of positivity and more reason for people to get season tickets.

Fair enough if Bolton want to start early with it, but don't see the point with us doing that to be honest when there are more beneficial times.

I totally disagree the vibes are their and that’s why other clubs are doing it.

Plus we use to always put on sale Ned in Feb when times were good and they are now.

It seems they can all do nothing wrong lately Ned, well enjoy this false current season as we should not even be in this league.

Don't agree we shouldn't be in this league. We deserve to be in this league because of bad management from the ownership for years, we're fortunate they got lucky with the manager.

Don't agree that it's a false season either. Look at the teams who have been stuck in League One after relegation, that's not happening to us.

But fair points about good vibes actually.

We seem to behind the curve on a lot of stuff behind the scenes,

plymouth outdoor stuff before the game ,
we have a massive car park but it's kept as just that,
we have talked about promotions reducing tickets etc apart from doncaster have we done anymore reductions?

Someone mentioned on this forum or another? about the miserable build up to games we need a complete overhaul to put someone in place with a great inventive mind and promotional skills to push through some new ideas behind the scenes.

The most obvious to start with is the worse segregation in the football league and a big emphasis is needed to fill the family stand.

Put a city flag on every seat lots of freebies to get kids in with parents
i just never hear of much happening,
Raffle tickets sold every game with big cash prize popping up half time on the screens.
Hopefully a lot of work needs doing on this front a lot of people in there positions don' t like change,

but apart from the team at the moment everything else seems a bit sterile and flat hopefully
lincoln' s game will be on the money

Monty,

We are run unprofessional and run by muppets

We are behind the scenes an absolute mess.

I'd put them on sale now and offer any new season ticket holders £10 tickets for each remaining home game

The backroom staff are asleep at the wheel the fans could not be more positive when was the last time you could' nt wait for the next game ,
Last season was the worse in 20 years
Mr Nash and his cronies need to go along with there silly rules

That chap on the tannoy could change his patter also says the same every week,
get up on your feet support the boys and make some noise,
then the stewards tell you to get back off your feet and sit down ?.

It's so frustrating the lack of interest shown by the clowns in charge

This club is riding the crest of a wave and there's just nothing

We have some massive games coming up where the club should be doing everything possible to fill the stadium and yet nothing but silence

They are obviously not interested anymore I just wish the dictator would sell and let someone who wants to take us to the next level have a go

I do agree about wanting new owners (not Bale) but they did do half price tickets for Barnsley but nobody took advantage.

They've got approval for one more ticket promotion before the end of the season from the EFL, imagine it will be the last home game.

All bullshit if the opposition Clubs agree on pricing and their fans pay the sane you can do it every game.

The Hierarchy don’t want this and can’t be bothered.

Bradford City and many many others clubs do it all the time.

Ned,

I agree on fully backing BBM, but The Hierarchy Unbelievable.
A Lottie success which is NO Success and your back supporting them.

Monty,

Spot on, I had already told this to Ned before, I just don’t understand why he is backing the Hierarchy.

They do nothing for Our Fans at all.

Did you not read my previous post?

I said we're in this league because of the ownership.

Don't put words in my mouth and say I support the ownership because I don't and I haven't said that all season.

Didn't know that about pricing things but please don't say I'm a Tan fan suddenly because of results, you know me better than that.

Fair enough Ned,

You’re not a Tan fan.

You’re a very positive fan.

But you cash in when everything is great as it was, remember many are unsure about next season.

We are currently in a high, so yiu strike then.

Make a midweek game £10 for walk-ins. We will get our best attendance all season, 25,000. This has been proved across the EFL over the years.

Now there’s a great idea!

I know many who can’t necessarily afford to pay out for a season ticket so early and without confirmation of the level we’ll be playing at

Appreciate there is the credit facility too, but that doesn’t suit everyone either :ayatollah:

The narrative some are Tan apologists is flawed and ultimately pointless. At this time, Tan is funding the Club at £300k weekly.
That’s the reality.

He’s not funding the club one penny and even if he was his choice as we could have sold many times.

Tan brought us down to this level .

What happened to debt free?
Answer that one.
