Plymouth fan:

Any Cardiff fan worrying about promotion, this happened to us almost 3 years to the day, the season we won the league with 101 points. It’s a blip, far too good a team to not go up. That number 11 Tanner quality player. Cardiff have got far too much to not go up, just a blip

I agree with this Plymouth fan, yesterday was an off day and it's not a result that will negatively impact us, it could end up having a positive impact for us. We will bounce back next week.

Eleven points clear of third and we have every reason to be confident.

100% Agree there are outliers in every walk of life where something happens against the normal now and again, yesterday was just one of those things

It's hardly even a setback really
If any club overtook us then yeah it's a setback

But we are 11 points clear of 3rd any club in this league would bite our hands off to be where we are right now
Especially Plymouth who had such a poor first half to the season they may not even make the playoffs (although I have a feeling they might creep in there)

Good of him to say that; he is correct. The stats were fairly even, but they were the better team on the day and took more of their chances. I think BBM will have a rethink, and we will tighten up for Lincoln. Wintle will return, as will Salech, to help defend the set plays, corners, and free kicks. I would imagine Fish and or Lalwor will be back in to keep things more solid at the back. It's going to be an interesting couple of games and then run into the end of the season.

Bagan was off his best, too. Maybe Scanlon will get his chance to show what he can do against Doncaster?

I don't think Salech is going to be back.

He's back running now and could be back in full training as early as the end of next week. But I agree, can't see him being in the squad at Doncaster.

Be handy to have him back for the Lincoln game as they will be a better version of Plymouth big strong and direct

Yes, very direct 40% odd possession and long throws and dead-ball opportunities are in the box. They are the type of team that cause us difficulties it will be really interesting to see what BBM does and if Salech will be fit enough by then.

What a nice fan! The body of work definitely suggests that Cardiff will be fine and that this is just a blip. Still, gotta hope this loss serves as fuel for motivation to bounce back with a vengeance! :bluebird:

Tbf this happens in the championship too

How many times in the championship do you hear "anyone can beat anyone in the championship" I've seen teams at the top lose by 4-5 goal margins to the team at the bottom

So if it can happen in the championship it can definitely happen in league one

So no panicking we move on and go again

No matter how good a team you are, you are always likely to come up against another team whose style of play causes you problems.

I think I'm correct in saying that Brentford (my grandson's team) beat Man City home and away in the same year the latter won the PL and Champions League. It can and does happen occasionally so we just have to dust ourselves off and keep picking up points.

And as strong as Lincoln are, there will come a time this season when it will happen to them too.
