He got a bit of stick on the match thread, but I actually think he did well.
The debatable decision was whether Osho should have been sent off, and I was 50/50 on whether yellow or red was right.
But otherwise I don't see what he did wrong.
8 from me.

7 for me. I wouldn't worry if i saw his name again.
He didn't tell Chambers not to contest balls and push; we have seen that all season.

he was not the worst ref we had
problem was our defending that cost us
but we must dust ourselves off and go again
if we could get back to winning ways before the Lincoln game then that would give the team a further boost going into a top of the table clash

He was good. Lucky to keep osho on the pitch can’t complain about the pen. He did little wrong to be fair and looked liked he enjoys the role.

Wasn't his reason we lost , but ive never seen a ref as card happy , in a game there wasn't a bad foul , we needed him when we played stockport

Thought the penalty was soft - pretty certain we wouldn't have been given that if it was down the other end.
Didn't look like a corner for their fifth either.
A five for me.

got everything apart from the penalty right I would say. Osho incident he was guided by the linesman and I believe it was only a yellow.

Not sure how it was a penalty it was nowhere near the ball

Agree with you on 4th and 5th goals, very soft pen and should have been a goal kick for the 5th which I think he gave at first and the lino flagged for a corner. That said, I have no idea why there other goal was disallowed... We just weren't at the races today so credit to Plymouth who deserved the win.

Gave him 1 for showing up with his boot laces tied.
I don't know who most of you were looking at but he made very bad decisions at crucial times in the game.
The decision to not award a free kick and then have to tell the players that he was playing advantage was appalling as the only advantage went Plymouth's way and then they scored.
The penalty was rather soft and gave Plymouth a two goal lead, many other refs would not have given it.
The Osho yellow card was a joke considering how Kellyman was felled by an off the ball incident by one of their players who should have been red carded.
Fair play, Plymouth deserved the win but it so easily could have been different.

23 fouls by Plymouth 3 yellow cards, 10 by us 4 yellow cards. 23 fouls is a very very high number and though none were bad tackles it was clear it was part of their plan to disrupt us and the referee should have penalised them more for persistent fouls. Not an excuse, we deserved to lose, but an observation

City's performance today was concerning, particularly regarding our defensive struggles in the air. While the players have been fantastic overall this season, I believe Chambers should be rested when we face direct sides that frequently play high balls into our box, after all, he is not a natural centre back.
The ref was also incredibly frustrating. With 24 fouls recorded for Plymouth in 90 mins, the game was stopped every 3.5 minutes, yet only three yellow cards were issued to the opposition. In contrast, City received four yellow cards for only 10 fouls. The standard of refereeing in League 1 feels consistently poor, and as fans, I believe we need to make our voices heard. Since players risk being cautioned for "Abuse of Officials" if they speak out, it is up to us at home games to let the referees know their performance is unacceptable.

I thought he did very well, he is very experienced at this level and used it all to manage the game. We can have no complaints about the outcome from the officials perspective. We didn't take our chances and were caught too often on the break. On to the next one!

Just watched the highlights back, missed a clear red for Plymouth number 4. This was early in the game Trott pulled off a point blank save, 4 then fouled Joel Colwill, I was wondering why Joel was making so much of it and holding his back/bum, replay shows a blatant stamp by number 4.
Also I dont think I'm imagining it and it wouldn't have made any difference but didn't the ref blow for a penalty in the 97th minute? Indicating that a Plymouth player had his arm across one of our players necks, Plymouth DJ took it as the final whistle so started playing music so the ref then blew the full time whistle.
Totally inconsistent all game, let play go on after clear fouls by both teams. Then blew for fouls and a few times even when we were awarded the free kick there was a few by me in the away end questioning what it was for.
Played an advantage on half way when Perry was fouled, cardiff players were clearly saying its a free kick and more or less stopped with Perry still on the floor. Cardiff then lose possession, Plymouth attack and cross to their left winger who scores to make it 3-1, with NG struggling to get back as he had just picked himself off the floor on half way line.
We wouldn't have won yesterday either way, but it may have been a different story with Plymouth down to 10 men early on or Cardiff going in HT at 2-2

He's from Lincolnshire, but doesn't support Lincoln. That's not allowed because a referee can't take charge of a match which directly or indirectly impacts the team they support.
I thought he had a good game to be fair and, although it's a low bar, was one of the better ones we've had this season.
