" No complaints "

Sat Feb 21, 2026 2:31 pm

The unbeaten run had to end at some point, but disappointing that it was like that.

We can't complain because our defending was dreadful, especially first half. We were slightly better in the second half but not much.

I didn't think Plymouth were that great, we just didn't really turn up and made it easy for them. Osho and Willock were especially poor.

So a game we deserved to lose and did.

Have to bounce back at Doncaster and think we will. A massive off day but that's all.

Kellyman my MOTM as he kept us in it for a while.

Use of subs were shocking ..

We will bounce back, but we have to accept the defence is fragile when put under pressure.
I hope they address this in the summer.

Only Kellyman and Tanner come out of the game with any credit and both were non existent 2nd half. Win at Doncaster a must now unless results go our way this afternoon

Our midfield combination just didn't work. We lost the physical battle all over the pitch, but especially at the back. Bit of a wake up call.

To be honest that's been coming when we play against more physical teams we tend to get outplayed not great performance but hopefully we get back on the horse next week think we actually missed salech in that game

Ive got a some complaints:
Wrong defence combination knowing there physical presence in the box
Lawlor and Fish perhaps better option today.
No ideas or change of tactics in second half.
Dreadful Chambers performance,
Chambers amateurish push gave them the game should have been dragged off .
Dreadful Osho performance, way too lackadaisical
Rubin way off pace, bad substitution choice hes not a battler.

Defensive was appalling.

I have been saying all season that Wintle bails out Chambers all the time. He tidies up all the shit balls, lack of pace, and plain daft passes he makes.

Why he brought rubin on for turnbull when you've got wintle there I'll never know

we ideally want to win to stay ahead of Lincoln before they play us and to gain momentum
I'd play joel and wintle together with rubin slightly foreward for more attacking threat

I think Salech could be on the bench against Lincoln but could be a few games after that.
Kellyman does a good job as striker but i think we just need a target man like Salech up front.
Robinson is too slow

Totally agree we were overwhelmed in midfield Turnbull for Wintle was the only choice. Steady the ship at a goal down it was all to play for

I expected it to be a tough afternoon for our centre-backs up against two very physically dominant strikers, but I also thought we’d be able to take control of the middle of the pitch. Unfortunately, we didn’t move the ball quickly enough to exploit that extra man, which allowed one of their front two to recover and reset.

Set pieces and defending crosses into our six-yard box are clearly areas we need to improve. It felt like one of those games where all of their key players returned at exactly the right time and were fully up for it. If we’re honest, we looked rattled at times, and although I felt we might grab one in the second half, I also couldn’t see us keeping them from scoring again. Have to be honest as well and say the subs looked desperate and thrown on. They made us worse not better.

The penalty felt very soft, particularly from an official who seemed keen to give them decisions. When you compare it to the level of contact Salech has had to deal with where we’re often told referees favour defenders, it looked an incredibly generous call. I’m not saying Plymouth wouldn’t still have won, but it came at a key moment in the game.

All said, we’ll bounce back. I’ve got no doubt this team has the quality, and BBM will get a reaction.

Stockport are losing already so you never know the teams around us could all drop points today then it's no harm done and just another game chalked off

The way I look at is I hate losing but maybe this will turn out to be a nice kick up the ass for everyone players and fans who may of been getting complacent

All this talk of what game we will be promoted etc has never sat well with me, we still have a massive battle to get the job finished and players and fans need to give everything for the next 13 games

This was terrible way to lose if we lost 3-2 fair enough but were very poor against a team that are not that good.

Why are we not playing Fish and Lawler/ has Lawler been sold? I love BBm but all this tinkering is pissing me off now it clearly failed today

Re: " No complaints "

Wrong centre back pairing for two big strikers, but the most obvious error for me was not playing Wintle in front of them . Baffling substitutions too - Wintle for Turnbull and pushing Robertson further forwrd was the obvious solution to them winning the midfield battle. All in all a very poor performance from us, but we have to give them credit as they battled hard and were still looking dangerous and looking to score in time added on. Must do better next week as Doncaster won't be a pushover.

Cannot agree that our defence was better in the second half, we were losing headers all game. Cannot understand why wintle did not play as the anchor midfielder.

Well said Sir, completely agree.

This drumming could do us the world of good going into the final push.
