Cardiff have issued a strong statement after club was charged by the FA over 'homophobic chanting' in the game against Chelsea
"We strongly condemn the language of identified individuals and fully support SWP’s commitment to holding persons responsible"
Cardiff City have responded to a Football Association charge relating to homophobic chanting during their Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Chelsea in December.
Cardiff confirmed the charge relates to homophobic language used by a small number of individuals during the match.
“As an inclusive club that positions itself at the heart of our community, we strongly condemn the language of identified individuals and fully support South Wales Police’s commitment to holding persons responsible,” the club said.
Cardiff added that the behaviour was identified quickly on the night, with police deployed to the relevant section of the stadium during the game following internal communication.

CARDIFF CITY FC:
“The behaviour of the perpetrators was swiftly recognised during the fixture in question,” the statement continued.
"Internal communication led to police being deployed immediately to the section during the match."
The club also stressed that preventative and responsive measures were in place before, during and after the fixture, and that those steps have been outlined in their formal response to the FA.
“The club is committed to inclusivity and the protection of all supporters attending our fixtures.
"Robust and coherent measures were put in place before, during and after this fixture and this has been highlighted in our response to the Football Association.
“No form of discrimination is tolerated at our Club, nor should it ever be in society.
"Supporters are reminded that such behaviour is criminal and is treated as this whenever identified.”

But calling us sheep shaggers is fine every game (i know we sing it back before someone says)

Ridiculous, the games gone, so many wet wipes in the world these days
Banter between fans is what makes it so tribal
Being called a sheepshagger week in week out don't see us crying

Would understand it if we were the only club to sing that against them.
But we're not, it gets sung against them every week.

Its about time every club that comes to the cardiff city stadium and chants sheep sh.ggers gets fined then if that's the case not that I am bothered as its banter
.
Perhaps the FA need to concentrate on sorting out things like issac davies deleberate elbow in the face rather than letting in woke agenda into football and also forums,
if your a frock wearer your called frock wearer, but if your not a sheep sh.gger perhaps you should not be called a sheep sh.gger.

Assault 3 of our players in two games and no action , and video evidence to back it up
Fri Feb 20, 2026 7:12 pm
Typical FA wankers.
Quite happy for our players to be physically assaulted and do absolutely nothing about it.
But say a few words that some over sensitive snowflake takes offence at and they can't wait to throw the book at the club.
What a bunch of tossers who make no attempt to be even handed or disguise their contempt for and clear bias when dealing with our club.

There’s already a precedent in law. Not sure why the club issues meaningless statements.

The standard Chelsea rent boys Chelsea rent boys oh oh oh oh.
The old rent boy chant used to be a regular at Ninian to welcome the opposition keeper to the grange end second half .
Number of opposition keepers potentially slightly deterred - 1
Number of rent boys in attendance potentially offended - 0
