12 point gap to third

Tue Feb 17, 2026 10:31 pm

It's a big gap. Even if Bradford and Stockport win their game in hand, it's 11 points.

Games running out for the chasing pack.

Plus we have a great goal difference.

Bolton score so many late goals even more than we do still 12 points plus a massive superior goal difference will do me for now

I always look at the goal difference of teams when judging their league positions. Cardiff and Lincoln are miles ahead of the pack in this respect and only a total disaster will stop either team claiming an automatic promotion.

7 more wins from 14 gets us to 90 points (21 points).

I dont see Bolton or any of the chasing pack getting to 90.

Even if Bolton WON all their remaining 13 games (they wont), that only gets them to 96 points.

Granted, Bradford can still get to 100 points if they win all their remaining games, but again they aint gonna win 15 on the bounce.

Similarly, Stockport would have to win all their remaining games to get to 98 points. Never gonna happen.

I think 90 will be enough to seal promotion.

As for the title, I think if we win 10 of the remaining 14 that seals that.

If any of those teams start picking up 2pts a game type form (which they aren't at the moment and haven't all season really) that still leaves them finishing in the mid 80s. Job nearly done

checked ai and it says cardiff need 7 more wins to secure automatic promotion to the championship. and so that would be when we face Blackpool at home. If of course we win 7 on the bounce which is highly likely with a team that is scoring for fun.
All looking good so far for us BUT we do have a big game against Lincoln which could indicate 1 foot in the championship for Cardiff if we could win.
