I know we have not been filling the stadium as much as in the championship ,
so maybe a bit of lost revenue been recouped but surely this is an awful idea our pitch is an international football pitch play at swansea or Llanelli rather than bugger up our pitch ,
They also like the grass longer, if this goes ahead it will make ine hell of a mess of the turf the groundsmen must be beside themselves,
I would make all the players at the end of the match roll onto there sides and roll back and for across the pitch rolling out all the divets.

When the Blues Rugby used CCS it ruined our pitch and very low crowds.
We don't need this in my opinion.

Oh shit yeh I didn’t think of the pitch , this is a bad idea I hope they don’t allow it , the pitch isn’t great at the moment anyway , it would ruin it

Yes I remember the state of ghe pitch back then I hope this is just a one off

Bad idea.
Why can't they use Llandaff fields.
Plenty of available flat and decent pitches there with lots of space around for the few hundred fans who may still wish to turn up!

Still not great preparation for our pitch, with our season starting in August.
A lot of work goes into preparing the pitch for a season and this doesn't help.

We don't know the details yet, every year we pay to have a new pitch laid, for all we know, the money we get for hosting this game, might cover the entire new pitch replacement, so they play on our old pitch, and then once the game is over, pitch gets taken up for new one to be laid.

The 26/27 season starts nearly 6 weeks after the rugby game
Tue Feb 17, 2026 3:47 pm
We are likely to get around £250k for hiring out stadium and if out ground staff cant get tge ground ready foe the start of the football season in 6 weeks then have an issue with our ground staff Good earner for the club

Maybe the Welsh Eggby Union can pay for a replacement pitch after the fat boys ruin it.
They make plenty of money from Six Nations ticket sales ......

Monty I think our attendances this season are very slightly up on last season, I could be wrong but what I'm getting is 19,078 last season and 19,136 this season for average league attendances.

It take 5 weeks to lay a new pitch and have it ready for the start of the season.
The Fiji game is on 3rd July, 6 weeks before the start of the season.
Free money for the club, bring it on.

I bet this is because of concerts in THE EGG Stadium.
