Robinson keep your head up

Sun Feb 15, 2026 7:02 pm

I feel for Robbo , not playing much at all , he would of buried that goal yesterday if he had played more minutes this season, there’s been a few he’s missed now and I can see it’s weighing on him , just keep plugging away Robbo , keep your head up , there’s still a quality player in the there :bluebird: :bluebird:

Unfortunately he had a start recently and didn't perform so I can see why he's been mainly used as a sub.

Whilst we have Salech out injured, it's better to have Kellyman leading the line. Doing well.

Yes totally agree , would play kellyman anyday , I just feel if he had more minutes he would be the finisher he was the last few years , just felt for him yesterday

I think it's quite harsh to blame him for that miss it wasn't a tap in. Rubin ripped the cross in he did everything your supposed to do as a striker in that position keep it low back across the goal. Just a great (if not very fortunate) save. That being said while he's definitely still got quality and I agree a run in the team would probably up his form, I'm of the view his legs have gone, the pace just isn't there anymore. I'd be surprised if we don't try to offload in the summer

3 years ago, he would have scored; it was what he was good at, pure instinct. I never fancied him scoring when he took a touch or had time to think. But the injuries have taken their toll. We're going to have to take a huge loss on him in the summer.

I agree with sentiment “keep your head up”. I hope if, and when, he is used, that he plays ok.
But I said it was a big waste of money to keep him on our books for another 2 years. Sad to say, but I have not changed that view. I accept that he can score some goals and his technique is ok. But….
be does not close down effectively, and he rarely puts in a challenge. Last year, what use was it to Cardiff if he scored a goal but we lose 3-1.In other words he is not a good team player. When he comes on as a sub, he is not a “hungry” player anxious to impress.

However, on a positive general point, I came down from the frozen North for the game yesterday and was really impressed by the super play by City’s starting 11 in the first half, and by their professionalism throughout. What was most striking was that all players looked so composed on the ball. Well done lads.

Still time for him and others to play their part to the end of this season :bluebird:
