Sad to hear that, he turned them around and was doing really well.

All the best Joe!

And thats why we went down last year and why we didnt renew his contract. Great player and great servant to City but like Ramsey retirement or coaching beckons.

Wow gutted for him.

They had improved since Ralls joined them.

Great Servant for us.

I hope next season brings you back strong again.

This is why I found it bizarre that people wanted him to stay. One of our top earners and injured all the time.

Great guy but bbm made the right call

If he stayed it would have been on a new contract for a lot less money and he was prepared to except that cos he desperately wanted to stay, so the "one of the top earners" comment which I've read from many other posters too is irrelevant.

Yes he's injury prone but his experience around the training ground and dressing room would have been invaluable to all the players.

How many games did he miss last season? Probably half?

He still would have been on a decent wage and there’s no point in keeping him because he’s good for the changing room. We’ve got players who are also good for the changing room and contributing to the games. Like I said great person and good player but we’ve not needed him at all this season

A real shame but some vindication for the decision to move him on.

Sad for Rallsy, but just backs up whoever it was judgement to release. Unfortunately, he had a few years littered with injuries.

I hope this isn't the end. If fully fit (which hasn't happened for at least 3 years) he'd be quality at this level.

You're missing my point. He would have signed a contract on a really low wage just to stay at Cardiff to help us get back in the championship because he loves the club that much.
