Interview with Iwan Roberts for wwww.cardiffcityforum By Greg Davies
Cardiff City, looking to close the three point gap with league leader QPR, travel on Monday to a Leeds team who's form has been patchy of late, and have shipped in a lot of goals.
http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk caught up with former Wales international striker
Iwan Roberts, who took time out from his busy schedule as a BBC pundit to answer a few questions from
Greg Davies.
GD :
High flying Cardiff City travel to Elland Road on Monday to face a stuttering Leeds. Can The Bluebirds take all three points from Yorkshire??IR :
It's always tough there but I fancy Cardiff against anyone this season.GD :
Jay Bothroyd is in fine form this season bagging nine goals already. What's the difference between this season and past seasons where maybe he hasn't found the net as frequently??IR :
I think he's not spending as much time outside the box as he's done in past seasons and getting in the box more often and now he's getting his rewards.GD :
The signing of Craig Bellamy really captured the imagination of the Cardiff public, but he's been struggling with injuries. How important is it to Cardiff's chances that he's fit??IR :
It's vital he stays fit, he's not a one man team but he certainly is quality.GD :
While much has been said about the potency of Cardiff's much lauded attack, their defence is still making too many mistakes. Do you think Dave Jones will look to strengthen there in January??IR :
Yes. Hudson lacks the aggression for a big centre half and they haven't replaced Johnson really. I do like Darcy there though.GD :
Do you think Cardiff can finally take that final hurdle that they've fallen at over the last two years and make it to the Premier League?IR :
Yes think they've got a fantastic chance. Best chance they will have in my opinion.GD :
Thanks Iwan, I appreciate it.IR :
My pleasure. There are more interviews in the offing that you will only see here at
