Surprised that they waited that long to sack him to be honest

There was those on here that thought he’d do better than Ange but the truth being that Frank is just a mid table manager. Tim Sherwood had it right when he said when he was first appointed that he was the wrong fit for Spurs, his style wasn’t going to change and it wouldn’t work at Spurs. They’re going to have to be careful with the interim appointment or else we’ll be playing them next season. They need either Harry or Tim to take over before Poch goes back after the World Cup.

Think he has the worst win rate of any "big six" team's manager in the PL era. Surprised they waited this long because there was a chance they'd get relegated if he stayed.

No idea who they go with until the end of the season with all the best managers not available until the summer.

Harry did say in January that he would love to do the job as an interim. Poch has said he wants to come back so that’s the obvious one after the World Cup. Myself happy with Harry short term but I’m not a great believer in going back so not so sure about Poch. Whoever they get hopefully there will be some sort of style which has been lacking under Thomas Frank. Might have been a bit of a rollercoaster under Ange but at least you knew you’d attack even if the defence wasn’t so organised.

Roberto Di Zerbi maybe?

Not many great players in the Tottenham squad, but in all fairness, they have been very unlucky with many injuries.
It would make sense to copy United and appoint a caretaker manager until the summer.

My Boy is a Bees fan and we have season tickets and almost every season its a case of expecting the bubble to burst, and they somehow push on even further. Watkins and Benhrahma left Ivan Toney arrived and was incredible. Toney leaves, Wissa and MBeumo step into the void.

But I'll be honest I thought Frank leaving and taking his entire coaching staff with him, plus MBeumo and Wissa moving on...

I thought this season would be the one where they lost too much to maintain their place as a decent premier league side.

Now they sit 7th, Thiago (and Schade) are tearing the league up, and rookie manager Andsrews who was set piece coach last year has the side purring.

Frank must be absolutely gutted he ever got tempted by the bright lights down the road, he was always on a hiding to nothing taken the Spurs job and the Bees just carry on getting better and better. I think he was mad to leave but I guess the lure of the Champions League and a shit-tom of money was too much - he was a God in this small corner of West London and less than a year later his reputation is destroyed.

The stats show he had the worse Win ratio from previous managers at Spurs .

It was never really going to work and he was less than third choice when he was (eventually) appointed

I have a soft spot for Spurs, having spent time in that area as a young man, but I’m 100% Bluebird on the few occasions we have played them! :bluebird:

I joke elsewhere about Daniel Levy going for Sean Dyche with his recent record, but I concur with barriboy above, in the I think they may well wait until the end of the season/Trump World Cup to reappoint Mauricio Pochettino, with a proven ‘caretaker’ going in for the rest of this season

Harry Redknapp wouldn’t be as wild a choice as some might think for caretaker, but I just hope they don’t go for another Ryan Mason stint, as they are currently in grave peril of being drawn into a relegation fight, if they aren’t already!

Robert de Zerbi leading the betting, but others, not including BBM, are in the (so called) frame, including recent ManUre flop, Roberto Amarin!

They were mental to sack Ange. There's something wrong when you'd rather finish fourth than win a European trophy

I think signing Ange was a bit like them appointing the great Ossie Ardiles back in the day in that it looked great but when it went wrong, it was spectacular!

Terry Venables was the best ‘fit’ they’ve had in my time, although Pochettino was very good, too!

If they are to appoint De Zerbi then I feel it has to be now, if they go for a temporary manager he’d obviously turn it down. If they wait till the end of the season then they’d have to appoint Poch as any other manager would always be under a cloud because the majority of fans want him back. Personally I want De Zerbi as I feel he would be a good fit.

I always thought that they had taken the set piece specialist from Brentford as that was the one area that seemed to have improved under Thomas Frank, so I was surprised that it was Andrews the Brentford manager.

It was interesting to hear Ange’s thoughts on his time at Spurs and how though they had such a great ground and training facilities they wouldn’t pay out the wages for the players he wanted. He also went on about Levy on the morning of the Europa Final saying that he’d been in charge for 7 cup finals and semi finals and they’d lost the lot, he told him that it was about to change. Mind you I know he’s said before that when I first got the job Levy had said to him that they’d tried winning managers like Conte and Mourinho so they thought they’d try another type of manager. He said that he had to remind Levy that he’d won trophies wherever he’d gone.

It’s not just Cardiff’s Chairman and board that are shite.

Goid post and all makes sense!

Levy seems to be the issue at Spurs, and he’s renowned for being tight with Joe Lewis’ $$$s!

I read the Ange comments with interest, but drew the conclusion that whilst he made some good points, his tone overall came over as ‘bitter ex

Ultimately, he did win Spurs first trophy for many a year, but his time there was disappointing at best. Spurs ‘style’ of football may be to attack, but the idea is still to score more than your opponent!

De Zerbi would be a decent fit on paper, but I can’t see further than ’The Poch Mk ii’, if Levy is to regain the trust of a Spurs faithful who are as angry as ours where their owner and Board are concerned!
