Easiest way for a copper to recognise a drunk driver now, sober drivers are all over the road avoiding the potholes, drunk driver drives a straight line

The amount of money given to local councils since 2010 has reduced by 30 percent
Almost all the spending goes on social services .....primarily the care of the elderly , vulnerable .....schools etc
Very little is left for roads and rubbish collections ....which is why both these areas are in such a bad way

I have to say where we are, the boys doing the rubbish and recycling are excellent.
The team in charge of pot holes have just asked if they could have another tenner as the last one didn't last that long...

I’d love to know what my local council spent on pothole repair last year. For £180 K they could buy a JCB pothole repairer, does 200 square meters in one load. Political choice used to be high taxes good services and infrastructure, or low taxes poor services. Now we have high taxes, highest since WW2, and poor services. Time for a civil service cull.
