Rubin must be close?

Sun Feb 08, 2026 4:30 pm

To match fit, saw him fully involved in training session video end of last week and thought he may have made bench yesterday. The more fit players the better now.

Let’s hope so mate. It’s a credit to BBM and the other players how well we’ve dealt with key players getting injured. Having Rubin back and firing guarantees promotion in my opinion.

It will be interesting how BBM starts Rubin and Kellyman, Kellyman doesn’t deserve to be dropped, he’s been brilliant.

BBM said we'll know more by the end of next week, would have been back in training for two weeks then.

Which makes sense.

Yeah true, imagine the link up between Rubin, Kellyman, Willock and Tanner. Amazing

If that is the case Underhill which 2 start out of Robertson, Turnbull and Colwill? Tough choice but in the absence of Wintle I would go with the calmness and safety of Turnbull and the energy of Colwill.

Yes Turnbull for me too. I like Robertson but I feel Turnbull is more reliable.

I agree. Who’d have thought we’d be saying this about Willock a few weeks ago!? Think we’re saying the real player now.

The Rubin returns..? :? :laughing6:

BBM says he’s not too long away but I’d be looking early March! Anything less would be a big bonus! :ayatollah:

Strewth, fella, it was clearly a joke that tied in with your user name!

Explain where I came even close to offending or causing offence? I even answered your question!

Appreciate you may be looking to be ‘offended’, possible by me and Maccydee (not that I’m aware our paths have ever crossed on here?) but on this occasion, I think you owe an apology!

Would the right thing to do but I won’t hold my breath!

For me keep things as they are and introduce him slowly in to games as a sub.

I don’t think there’s any chance of that personally.

Hope he’s brought back slowly, I think March would be better.

Amazing to think that we have been without Salech, Lawlor and Rubin for a while and haven't greatly missed them!Very strong squad when they come back.

Good point and I feel that's down to BBM rotating the team each week. He took a lot of stick on here from many because he'd make 2, 3, 4 changes each match but what he's created is a squad of first team players. Great management from BBM.

Kellyman as a false 9 works because Joel gets beyond him and into the box. Rubin doesn't do that.

Exactly and not many posters saw that early season.

The squad is more together and stronger for it in general. Like you say, great management.

Cannot wait to see Rubin playing behind Kellyman, with Willock and Tanner on the wings.

They will be way too much for this league.
