“ Andy Legg “

Fri Feb 06, 2026 6:35 pm

Barry Town United have appointed Andy Legg as their new First Team Manager, with the former Wales international returning to the club to take up the role.

Legg replaces Steve Jenkins, who will remain at the club in a new position as Head of Football at Barry Town United.

The 59-year-old has connection to Wales in his playing career playing for Cardiff City, Swansea City and Newport County. Within the domestic game he played for Llanelli as he coached the side on two occasions as well as managing Bangor City. He also represented the national team six times.

The appointment marks a return to familiar territory for Legg, who previously served as First Team Manager during phase two of his last spell with the club last season.

Barry Town United’s next game in Phase Two is at home to Colwyn Bay on Saturday at Jenner Park.

trophy.If I'm right swansea won 2-1.
I was there that night as I was
working in cardiff at the time.

WTF does that have to do with anything???? :?

I’ve tended to let your garb wash over me so far, but you are certainly on here for a ‘wind up’!

It may appear ‘odd’ to you, but us Bluebirds are/were more than aware of Leggy’s ‘history’ but we gave him a chance, and he proved to be a great signing for our club, embraced it, became a bit of a legend in the process, and let no one down in his time here!

Blackpool? Cardiff? Swansea? :?

Are you sure you actually know who you ‘support’????

Dont know why you got such a strange reaction to your earlier post, I certainly cant see anything that justified that reaction Coincidently, Seasiders is also one of the nicknames for Andy Legg's new club Barry Town.

Met him recently, had a good chat, top guy. Also saw him playing over 50s football... he's 59 and ran the show.
