If Salech is still out as BBM seems to indicate surely we have to go with Kellyman up front from the start & have CR as back up to come on later in the game when they're tiring and to confuse them with his lack of speed.

That last sentence made me laugh. It's up there with the queen mother could beat Nugent over 3 yards

I was told today Salech will be out for a while. What BBM has said there makes me think there could be some truth in it.

Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Manchester United forward Gabriele Biancheri, who joins the club in a temporary deal until the end of the season, subject to Premier League, EFL and FA ratification.

The Cardiff-born forward began his career with his hometown club and current League One table-toppers Cardiff City before he shot up through the ranks in the Welsh capital.

His early promise was so great that he was picked up by Premier League giants Manchester United in February 2023, aged just 16.

A regular for the Red Devils at both Under-18 and Under-21 levels last season, Biancheri netted 15 goals in 36 league appearances and played an integral role in United’s FA Youth Cup side which reached the 2024/25 FA Youth Cup semi-finals - with his own contribution extending as far as a Third Round hat-trick against Coventry City.

His prolific goalscoring form in the youth ranks at both Cardiff City and Manchester United piqued the interest of the Welsh, Canadian and Italian international setups – all of whom the youngster is eligible to represent.

To date, Biancheri has represented Wales at each youth level from Under-16 to Under-21, and was invited as a training player to Canada’s senior international squad ahead of their 2025 Canadian Shield friendly tournament.

Described by the Manchester Evening News as a “pacy, sharp and dynamic” forward, the attacker is capable of playing anywhere across a front three, as well as being comfortable when slotted into the number 10 role.

Gabriele links up with his new Millers teammates, including fellow United loanee Dan Gore, for a solid week of training before our clash with his former club Cardiff City on Saturday 7th February.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Gabriele in the latest chapter of what is sure to be a storied career and we look forward to seeing him in action for the Millers.

“ Rotherham “

Rotherham are in a relegation spot 4th from bottom of League 1

The Millers have had a tough Christmas period. Rotherham suffered seven straight league defeats from December 10th until January 17th, before stopping the poor form with a home draw against AFC Wimbledon the following week.

I see a lot of people complaining about the new points system for away tickets but it's games like this Bolton wigan etc where you have the chance to boost your points to be in with a shout for games like Exeter and Mansfield where we will only have small allocations

After a dark winter, there suddenly appears to be some overdue light on the horizon at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. Whisper it gently, mind.

The Millers sanctioned four pieces of incoming business on Monday.

Although perhaps the most significant development surrounded something which didn't happen with star striker Sam Nombe staying put, despite late-window speculation.
Nombe and January arrival Harry Gray were the only fit forwards prior to Monday at Rotherham, who have boosted their League One survival fight with successive wins.

An early deadline-day blow saw Swansea City loan attacker Bobby Wales move to Huddersfield Town as opposed to the Millers, but manager Matt Hamshaw successfully switched targets to save the day.

A deal to sign experienced frontman Duncan Watmore, 31, got over the line, with the former Middlesbrough player penning a deal for the rest of the season.
Watmore, who left Millwall at the end of last season, had a trial with Sheffield Wednesday earlier this term and had been training at Stockport County.
Watmore’s arrival was followed by the loan addition of Manchester United and Wales Under-21 international forward Gabriele Biancheri, 21. He links up with fellow Red Devils loanee Dan Gore.

Cardiff-born Biancheri, who has previously trained with Wales’ senior squad, is in the mix for a debut at home to his hometown club, where he spent time in the academy, on Saturday.

The Millers also completed a successful beat-the-deadline swoop to sign Aston Villa left-back Lino Sousa on loan.

The former England youth international, also 21, has spent previous temporary stints at Plymouth Argyle and Bristol Rovers.

Rotherham now have five loan signings on deck. Five are allowed in a match-day squad.

There was still time for a sixth and final arrival of the winter window in the shape of Leicester City full-back/midfielder Brandon Cover, who spent loan spells at Port Vale and Fleetwood last season. The 22-year-old has joined on a permanent basis.

One exit saw centre-half Sean Raggett, who is out of contract in June, head to Cambridge United on loan with his Millers' career now effectively over.

Matt Hamshaw hopes a good week on and off the pitch will be reflected by more bums on seats when Rotherham United welcome League One pacesetters Cardiff City to the New York Stadium on Saturday.
After a dismal winless run that stretched back 11 games, Rotherham have suddenly turned things around with a comeback victory over Northampton Town and a thumping of Exeter City on the road.
They topped that off with four signings on Monday’s transfer deadline day, news that was followed by the appointment to the board of a new non-executive director in local businessman Phil Smith.
