But our owner and board should be ashamed of there lack of help to gain promotion and backing BBM first team.

We’ve signed two today; a striker from Spurs and a midfielder from Nottingham Forest

Both are highly regarded and according to early reports, the striker (ex Man City with BBM) is a big capture!

How do you know that BBM hasn’t been backed by the board.I’d have liked us to have signed a couple more players but is it not possible that even if the club was willing to purchase more players, the ones that BBM wanted might not have been available. The only thing that I’ve heard of him saying he wanted was a LB and he got one even if it was only on loan. I have no idea if the club was willing to back BBM or not.

As to Our First Team Sadly NO Backing.

I was joking about seeing these lads we signed at rotherham on the weekend but if we sid see the striker on the bench in a few weeks time Robinson will be kicking off if he gets the nod before him .
So apart from the left back nothing has changed.

However we need to think about the here and now, it is so crucial we get over the line this season and just a small investment would have gone a long way to securing that, now we have to hope rubin Salech and Lawlor all come back quick and are fireing on all cylinders our rivals have all strengthened considerably and will be strong during the run in, we cannot afford to fall off the pace as if we drop on to the play offs the dissapointment would be so big I couldn't see us going up through them

The January transfer window is a tough one. Not many good quality players available and I trust BBM. I’d rather he brought in quality than poor players to make up the numbers.

Fail to get promoted due to injuries suspensions etc Tan will have demos on his hands bigger than ever again for not backing the first team but the down side also will be fans dropping off in the thousands.

If your manager gets backed then January is not tough at all.

For me 1,000% Tan has not backed BBM

I will be happy when Mr Tan leaves, assuming he clears the debt as he said. We have had a lot of far worse owners since I started going in the late 60s, sadly, and this guy has spent his own money (unlike the Glazers at Man U) but that is that really, and for me there is no going back once he did the red to us.

All that said, the backing or lack of it in the last 2 transfer windows - the club have NOT sold Salech, or Robbo, or Willock, or Rubin - Salech has had a new contract recently, Robbo got one a year ago, I can't recall if Rubin also had a new contract in the last 12 months - anyhow, from a business point of view the club appear to have invested in attacking players who were here.

I also agree with a previous poster who said BBM likes to have a squad, all of whom are selected regularly, in other words there is competition for places (other than left back until yesterday). Mourinho did the same on his first stretch at Chelsea, 2 players for every position, no more.

Obviously we don't know what private conversations have taken place - it may well be the case that BBM was told there's little or no money for transfers whilst we are in League 1, and decided "I like those odds as City have been doing a crap job of playing anything like actual football for years and I can get a tune out of these kids, if we keep hold of some of the older pros like Chambers etc"

Exactly that why it was important to keep away our rivals licoln stockport bolton huddersfield bradford all signing players for the next 3 months, we will now have to go with what we have.

Pathetic window in truth but I expected that. Some u21 we won't see but ship aload of our own out on loan, so they are clearly not good enough if we are bringing more in and some left back which we have needed all season. It's actually laughable from the club in my opinion backed BBM with hardly anything but on to Rotherham Saturday

BBM was brought in to do exactly what has happened today. Make young players better. The club has wasted millions on poor but established pros. This is good for us.

On your bike ,balanced me, i post lots of positive but not everything is rosy in the garden, and judging by a lot of posts since the window closed I am not in the minority .
May I suggest not reading my posts.

So we are top of the league , our youngsters are being given the opportunity of first team football . We are top of the league and yet still people loan . Thats just ridiculous.
