About Burton Albion

Burton are now in their eighth successive season in League One.

They finished 20th last season, one place outside the relegation spots.

So far this season, they are 20th with 30 points from 27 games.

Club Connections

Ben Turner is well known for being part of our team that got promoted to the Premier League. He scored the late equaliser in the League Cup Final too.

On their say Burton can be a tricky side to play against like any of the other sides in this league. Their problem is they are not consistant and we should be able to come away with all 3 points.

I expect it to be a carbon copy of the first game, we will probably dominate and it'll come down to our ability to break Burton down

Bradford City, Luton Town interested in Burton Albion star
Both Bradford City and Luton Town are looking to add to their squads this week, with a striker being a priority for the pair.

29-year-old Beesley joined Burton from Blackpool in the summer and has been key to the club’s survival efforts this season. Gary Bowyer’s side will be desperate not to lose their talisman, but the pull of a promotion race could drag him away from the Brewers.

Both Luton Town and Bradford City are expected to be active before Monday’s deadline and Beesley could be high on their lists as they look to get out of League One this campaign.

BBM on Robinson and Davies v Barnsley:

“I’m very pleased with [Callum] Robinson and Isaak’s [Davies] performance when they came on and they are hungry to play. They are giving me a lot of food for thought in the absence of Yousef [Salech].”

BBM URGES CITY FANS TO BE PATIENT OVER STRIKER SALECH:

BBM:

“He’s improving daily and hopefully I’ll see him for the first time today,” Barry-Murphy said. “Hopefully he’ll get through training today.

“Our message to him and to our supporters is that we’re going to be really considerate of what he needs, be really patient and take it step by step so that after such a serious injury he’s in a really good place when he comes back.”

Burton are 5th from Bottom And with 5 defeats in their last 6 games:

BBM: “ BURTON ALBION “

“It was a very difficult game when we played against Burton in our own stadium," said Brian. "They clearly showed how dangerous a team they are and have continued to do so.

“They’ve had some brilliant results against top team and obviously were very competitive in the game against Bolton on Tuesday, so it’s going to be a really tough game and one that we’re looking forward to.

“We always want more. We’re very grateful for the efforts that the players are making and how much improvement they’re making, but I think that the best thing about working with this squad at this time is there is so much more to come from them, and so much that we can focus on a daily basis, which is the best part of the job.

“I was very pleased with a lot of what I saw yesterday from the game on Tuesday. The most energising thing that gives you the focus to go again is when you see things that you think could be better. When it’s evident that there are still things that can be better, it’s a great place to be."
