That was a nice game to get us back to winning ways, never really got out of second gear.
Barnsley had an off night. They had a brief period of pressure just before half time but that was pretty much it. Scoring on the stroke of half time helped us.
Robertson should have been sent off at 1-0 and could have been a different game then.
But all in all, a great night for us and brilliant to score plenty of goals.
Willock MOTM, thought he linked with Kellyman really well. Two goals and an assist for Willock.
Joel Colwill also very good.

Decent win against a very poor Barnsley team tonight

[*]Salech going off on Sat changed the game.
Cardiff looked more dynamic alround.
tonight, no official recognised striker until Robbo came on.
We were already out of sight at that point.
Im not saying "We dont need Salech", but We will be ok without him

Football is a funny game. I thought we were quite sloppy at times tonight, and we’ve definitely played better this season and not won. Our worst part of the game was when Barnsley were on top, more from our lack of concentration then Barnsley quality. During that spell we were very lucky with the Robertson not getting a second yellow.
It’s been a tough run, so to come through those three games with seven points, and to score four goals against a team that tried to press us rather than sit back, is probably a warning sign for the rest of the division. I thought Tanner again took a step in the right direction. Another solid performance from the defence, and all of the goals were well taken, with Willock being the casing point with 2 excellent finishes.
Another three points, especially important with three of the chasing pack also winning! How do Bolton keep scoring these 90+ minute winners? Surely that luck will start to run out

Willock my man of the match. Very convincing display. Just need Lincoln to start dropping some points now lol

Better 2nd half I found although a comfortable win Vs a very poor side on the night, some good passages or play for me throughout the game at times. Everyone put a shift in otherwise BBM swaps them as we know. They have to be athletes for sure under bbm. It's strange when we draw or lose then win the next game with ease.
My only gripes was the soulless stadium atmosphere it's awful. I bet away fans come here thinking what the f*CK is this these are top of the league. It has to be one of the deadest atmosphere's in the league for away fans in my opinion. Trotts ball distribution found willock once out of about 13 longer balls he kicked the rest went out of touch or nowhere near a blue shirt. Great shot stopper and a great save in the first half for sure.
Although i feel we never got out of 2nd gear but didn't need to. On to Burton away next for another 3 points

I don't think Barnsley had an off night, they created quite a few good chances especially in the first half. I think they couldn't cope with Kellyman, Willock, Tanner and Colwill, and then Turnbull came on to complete their nightmare.
For me, everything clicked into place last night and Barnsley couldn't cope with us.

A great win, although I thought we tried to walk the ball into the net too many times. Like the crowd I wanted more shots instead of passing side to side. If we were playing a better team then those missed chances could have cost us imo. Good to get back to winning ways tho.

We need a few players in before the window shuts to consolidate our strong league position. Injuries are creeping in and we don't want to be caught out towards the end of the season. We also need to strengthen for the championship and bed a few players in to hit the ground running should we get promoted. Let's not jeopardise our promotion chances with lack of investment Tan!

Robertson has twice now come perilously close to a sending off,he needs to be a bit more careful.

Agree they came here and the plan was to pressure us not sit in a low block, all the extra space that allowed us meant they ended up being picked apart

I honestly think the drum doesn't help the atmosphere it hinders it
The problem with the drum is it now seems to dictate our chants rather than the fans naturally singing
When we are away with no drum we seem louder than when at home and we sing more songs
The problem is we have had the drum at home for so long that a lot of the fans are dependent on it

I'm not so sure whether that's the issue. Most of if not all of atmosphere/signing is generated in Canton stand.
I was with my boy in the Grandstand at it was so flat.
Not sure what we can do to get it better because given our league position the whole ground should be rocking

The biggest reason is we are not the underdogs chelesea game you heard it different from the canton ,when we played ipswich in the championship they were going for promotion at the top we were going nowhere but the atmosphere was great and we got 2 goals in injury time 3 2 .

The football is beautiful to admire, it's a privilege to watch it, but it's spectator chess !!
Most of us have been brought up on physical counter-attacking football, but this is so clinical it's almost emotionless. They are brilliant, led by a genius and there are moments i chuckle, how clever was that, but it's rarely out of your seat stuff.
I am also petrified that we do a Cardiff, I just want it done, it rained all day, it was cold, and the traffic almost put south wales on stop.

Yes this is true. Sure the atmosphere would be alot better if it was against a more competitive opposition.
The gulf in class between us and Barnsley was extremely apparent. Apart from a brief spell in the first half they were never in the game
