With in 8 mins Brentford were down to 10men, but worse than that it was their goalkeeper sent off and they had No 2nd goalie.

Match was delayed for a while, Delay after the red card as Brentford do not have a goalkeeper on the bench. Defender Maxwell McKnight eventually takes on the role. (0-0)

City U21 are playing Brentford U21 at Leckwith today ko at 2 pm.

Looking at the team, it seems that there are no potential first-team players absent from the squad, and the new signing is playing, with Apter the usual U21 left back on the bench

The game, as usual, will be on YouTube

City lead 1-0 just before half time. Pearce with the goal.

Brentford have been down to ten men since the first five minutes, their goalkeeper sent off and had to put an outfield player in goal because they had no GK on the bench.

City win 4-0.

One sided match after the Brentford keeper was sent off after five minutes.

Only one match but impressed by Caden Voice on his debut. Great assist for the first goal. Played at LB.

I'm glad you posted this.

Missed the first 5 minutes and spent the whole game thinking how awful their goalie was.

I take it back young man. You ain't no Perry Ng though.

Yes, I’d agree with you. His crossing consistently beat the first defender, and his passing was very accurate. It’s probably just early days, but as he settles in, his movement off the ball will likely improve. All in all, he looks like he could be an excellent signing.

WTF does a keeper do to get himself sent off in the first 5 minutes of a game?

Stupidity then. He had to know that they had no reserve keeper & that there was a chance of being sent off. If our keeper did this in the same circumstances we would be livid, just do your best & if they score they score, there's still 85 minutes left ffs.

This sort of thing is why I don't like going into games without a keeper on the bench, makes me nervous every time.
