Would love to be down, but 230 mile trip, 460 round way is a bit too much for me theses days (approaching 68 now). Used to do it 20 years ago, but will be at Burton and Rotherham away :bluescarf:

Sorry,

I’m virtually on about those in Cardiff and say 20 mile radius who can make it for Premiership or the big games

It's cool, you put yourself out and travel miles / planes etc, but agree. Some who live close always have an excuse. And SKY don't hep, it helps me to watch but it's an easy excuse for those closer - shouldn't be. I was talking to a guy the other week at Bradford, about the smell of the old Ninian Park (After a 3 1/2 hour drive), I loved it , if you love the City you go there, especially now with BBM and the way our team is playing :bluescarf:

Monty,

I know how hard it is for you my friend and you don’t turn up just when they are winning.

I have a 200 mile round trip every home game, but I won’t be there on Tuesday. I need a break for a week or so, I lost my dad last Tuesday and he was the one who introduced me to Cardiff City.

I was there Saturday for Stockport and found it extremely difficult to sit through the game. I literally sat in silence for 90 mins, so I need a bit of a reset and some time away, and hopefully get back to some sort of normality on Feb 14 for Luton.

I'll be there irrelevant of weather, trains, buses or the M4 closed :bluescarf:

Some things are a lot more important than making it to a game. Total repsect to you.

I think once we have a new owner and the clowns have gone, there will be bigger crowds. The Tan effect is a real thing imo.

Yes we need new owners for many to return. Yes we are doing well but we are in league 1. Can we compete in the championship? Many don’t believe Tan has what it takes and history tells the story of abject failure looking at how much we lose to achieve very little…..we do however for once have what appears to be a decent forward thinking manager and Tans meddling is nowhere to be seen. :bluescarf:

Re: NO DOUBT THE EXCUSES WILL START :

I think that the 18,000 regular supporters that have turned up this season, along with the one to two thousand visiting supporters, is as good as it gets while we are in League one.
This will increase for a holiday fixture, such as Easter by a couple of thousand, with a bumper crowd for a match in which we will hopefully confirm promotion towards the end of the season.

Other football followers in Cardiff that are 'part time' City fans will only make a regular effort to visit the stadium if we play the big clubs like Liverpool, United, Arsenal ,Chelsea etc.

It is certainly true that quite a few also stay away while Tan remains at the helm.
I had recently spoke to some of those who confirmed the fact.

So don't build your hopes up for a big improvement in attendances just yet!

Sorry so to hear and RIP your Dad and it’s one of the worst things to happen in your life, losing a parent.

Take Care

Annis, i genuinely feel that fans stay away due to the current ownership of the club.
Had Bales bid won and the media circus followed matched with position in the league, i think we wold have regular crowds over 20k.

Regardless of what Bales bid was like.

I do agree if Bale had come in the crowds would have been bigger.

33,000 plus v Chelsea on a Tuesday night in December

But my view / opinion is we support our club No matter who the owner or manager is.
