END OF GAME FRACAS AND TUNNEL INCIDENT

Sat Jan 24, 2026 5:06 pm

A bit of a fracas at the end of the game, as our players gave Stockport’s Brad Hills a piece of their minds!

BBM was not happy and spent some time calmly talking to the player before heading back to our players/support

We could see it kicking off in the tunnel as the players disappeared and the security guys were running in behind!

Anyone any (genuine) knowledge on the latter? :?

Hopefully someone landed one on him.

Busy celebrating a draw like they'd won the FA cup while our main striker is laying in a hospital bed put there by one of them probably left a sour taste in a few mouths.

I love Perry he was straight into him at the end how it should be.

A lot of fans wanted to take a run on the pitch to get to the ref he booked cardiff players for trivial and blatant stockport elbows student tackles he did' nt even give a yellow to there players appalling ref formal comments should go in not just for salec challenge needs to be reviewed.

Apparently started at half time, sure someone will know what's what.

Perry NG master of the dark arts, love him. Think I read something a year or two back that our own players rated Perry as the one they would not want to go up against.

I heard osho went for him in the tunnel and then others got involved and a few handbags were tossed around

At the old Ninian Park, they would have been on for def.

Noe of it helped by the worse referee we have visited the ground. Minimum I'm expecting is he is demoted to the lower leagues.

Asn for the incident on the pitch I'm getting mixed reports if it was intentional or not. However there were other incidents thast were very intentional without punishment. More reason to ban this referee from being an official in any of the leagues.

I don't normally condone violence but it would have been worth a 10 match ban for any of our players to have laid the tw@t out.

Great to see our players sticking up for their team mate , shame they didn’t start swinging at the dirty b*stard ,
And glad to hear Cardiff fans have given Stockport fans a bit of grief after the game , dirty bastards
And for that ref if you’re reading this , your nothing but a c**t

The Salech incident was deliberate. He raised his arm knowing Salech was coming but then also made sure he hammered him on landing. It was a definite booking at the very least and that’s being kind !!

However, the elbow on Wintle in the last 10 minutes was even more blatant and was a straight red all day long !!

I accept League 1 is physical and I actually enjoy watching that, but when players deliberately go out to seriously damage people that’s where referees have to be stronger.

I’m just glad that Yousef Salech isn’t as bad as feared, but it looks like he will be out of Tuesday’s game!

Don’t want to put a dampener on the situation, but where I was looking from, our supporters who were ‘trying’ (very loose term) to get on the pitch at the end were being prevented by three stewards stood on the touchline doing very little, so I don’t really think there was any real intent. It was more bravado than anything (thankfully)
