GLEN WILLIAMS (WOL) BLUEBIRD RATINGS

Sat Jan 24, 2026 4:37 pm

Nathan Trott 5
One or two dicey moments early on with the ball at his feet. Parried Josh Dacres-Cogley's shot straight into Kyle Wootton's path for the opener and looked a little jittery at times.

Perry Ng 7 (star man)
Strong performance from the right-back, who was excellent in possession and had very little trouble down his flank defensively. Combined well with Tanner for the equaliser.

Calum Chambers 6
He and Osho might have closed down Dacres-Cogley quicker for the opener, but generally another assured display from the skipper. Produced a vital late block to deny Odin Bailey.

Gabriel Osho 5
Like Trott, had the odd scary blip with the ball early on and perhaps could have reacted quicker for the goal. Redeemed himself with a brave, important block to stop Josh Stokes in the second half.

Joel Bagan 6
Didn’t dovetail as seamlessly as usual with Ashford ahead of him, but defended competently and delivered a couple of decent balls into the box. Booked for a cynical tug but otherwise solid.

Ryan Wintle 5
Lost the 50/50 which led to the opener and was booked for a rash challenge. Grew into the contest and produced a crucial last-ditch intervention late on to snuff out danger.

Joel Colwill 6
Had very little impact until his stunning equaliser, which he took with real confidence and composure. Looked to be forcing things slightly before that moment of quality.

Alex Robertson 5
Like the other midfielders, took time to impose himself and was hurried and harried in possession. His set-pieces caused the odd moment of panic but lacked consistency.

Ollie Tanner 5
A frustrating first half where little came off and his delivery was repeatedly blocked. Made amends with an excellent one-two and assist for Colwill’s goal, but ultimately nothing else that he tried came off.

Yousef Salech 5
Should have scored early on when Wintle picked him out, but headed straight at the keeper. His afternoon ended prematurely after a heavy blow to the head, leaving Cardiff without a focal point.[/]

Cian Ashford 5
Worked hard and showed flashes, particularly with direct running late on, but couldn’t quite make the decisive impact we’re used to seeing from him. Better later on.

Subs

Callum Robinson (Salech 40) 6
Lively after coming on and nearly won it late with a clever run, only to be denied by an excellent reaction save. Gave Cardiff energy but lacked a clear opening.

Omari Kellyman (J. Colwill 68) 6

Showed neat touches and willingness to carry the ball forward. Picked up a booking for a cynical foul but helped maintain pressure.

Chris Willock (Tanner 68) 7
Bright cameo and arguably Cardiff’s most dangerous player late on. Drove at defenders, created two excellent chances and looked sharp.

Isaak Davies (Robertson 86) N/A
Only on briefly as Cardiff chased a winner and didn’t have enough time to influence proceedings.

I don’t agree with a few of these, Ryan Wintle (error included) on this occasion, but certainly interesting :ayatollah:

We were by no means great today, but these ratings are very harsh.

Agree. Bizzare ratings for some, particularly for Colwill who had probably his best game for us against one of the best in the league. Couldnt believe it when he was taken off.

He must watch a different game to us

Colwill was motm for many on here including me
He had a job to do which was to keep Norwood quiet and he did that very well
Giving him a 6 is doing him dirty
