Vote your Man of the Match v Stockport @ the CCS, Sat. 24 Jan. 2026 (KO 12:30)This was a crazy game, not helped by the most inept referee I’ve seen for some time; even by recent standards!
I’ll deal with Stockport’s no.33 Hills elsewhere, but he was as big a disgrace as his sponsor, the referee!
Some battling performances from our players, who held strong apart from the goal, and took the game back to Syltockport after the lengthy stoppage for the deliberate assault on Yousef Salech!
I was going to nominate a few players to consider, but my mind (and therefor vote) only goes towards one man today,
Ryan Wintle!
A class act again at both ends of the pitch and in the middle!

Tricky because it wasn't a game for the purists.
I'll go for the captain, Chambers.
Made some good defensive actions and stood up for the team against an abysmal referee.

I thought Colwill had his best game for us. Not just the goal but he was everywhere, tackling, going past players. Couldn,t believe it when he was taken off and we seemed to go off the boil immediately.

I went for Colwill as he was quite clearly instructed to nullify noorwood and I don't think Joel gave him a sniff all game which is credit to Joel as on his day Norwood can dictate a game

I thought most players were poor today but Colwill stood out for me.

Joel Colwill, easilly. Scored a great goal and prevented the top rated player in the league from playing.
Always running, always direct.
One of his best games in a Cardiff shirt for me.

He did play well, I also liked that he went straight to their number 33 after the game and got into it with him

We struggled against a team using bully boy tactics, the weather didn’t help seeing the ball just skid off the surface and the ref was totally useless.
Their goal was from clear breakdown in communication between Chambers and Osho, looked like both though the other was going towards Wooton.
The Ball just seemed to arrive it to players too quick at times and just kind of pinged off them, Robbo was more interested playing as a 10 instead of up top when he came on unfortunately.
Voted for Colwill though for that cracking goal.
