ITS PAY ON THE DAY FOR BOTH SETS OF FANS :bluebird:

Cardiff midfielders David Turnbull and Ryan Wintle could miss Saturday’s game with Stockport due to injury

Brian Barry-Murphy has also revealed that “different bouts of sickness” have broken out among the players with defender Perry NG set to miss out

BBM:

"Rubin is flying. He's making brilliant progress.

He's back on the pitch, alongside us but not with us. We're hoping he's back training fully in two weeks and then it's about measuring how much team training he needs before he's back in action."

BBM: “ Injury update “

"David Turnbull hasn't trained because he's been ill.

Ronan Kpakio is back in training, trained fully this.

Perry Ng hasn't trained so is a doubt. But there is an expectation on my part that he could train today. If it goes well today and tomorrow then he could be available. Genuine 50/50.

Ryan Wintle has had an issue with his neck. He's slightly more likely to play than Perry but still a doubt. "

Injury update:

Omari Kellyman is going to return to training this week.

About Stockport County

Stockport had their first season in League One last season following promotion.

It was a successful season, with them finishing 3rd but losing to Leyton Orient in the play-off semi finals.

So far this season, they are 4th with 45 points from 26 matches.

Club Connections

Several players have played for both clubs.

This includes Will Fish, who currently plays for us.

Anthony Pilkington is an ex-player who has also played for both.

The Opposition's Manager

Dave Challinor was appointed Stockport manager in November 2021, having also played for them.

He has achieved a huge amount of success - taking them from the National League to League One.

He also took Hartlepool back to the EFL in his previous job.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Kyle Wootton has eleven league goals this season, matching his total from last season.

Oliver Norwood is a quality midfielder. He scored a penalty and was MOTM in our away game against them.

Will be a real tough game this one, I thought they should have beaten us at there place they were better on the day

However we have improved a lot since then and our home form is outstanding so we should be getting 3 points from this game I'm going 2-0 to us

Re: LATEST NEWS " CARDIFF CITY v STOCKPORT COUNTY " MATCH TH

I keep expecting us to slip up at one of these home games.
Perhaps that may happen on Saturday.
I suggest a draw, but if we continue on top form, we should be too good for Stockport.

Stop Ollie Norwood. Camp Joel C on him.

Their slide down the table was when he was injured for 5 weeks. He's been MOTM in most appearances since on a pick up of form. He is their key man by a mile and ran the show up there.

MY THOUGHTS: CARDIFF VS STOCKPORT | MATCH PREVIEW

CARDIFF CITY VS STOCKPORT COUNTY
BITS FROM THE ACTION 25/26
MATCH PREVIEW

MY THOUGHTS: Created By Sam ReaN
Well this weekend could really boost our promotion with Huddersfield facing 3rd place Bradford this weekend. IF we win and Bradford lose then that would really give a boost in terms of promotion. Our team is currently on a high after beating Bradford and our home record is very strong. So i'm expecting another strong performance from us this weekend. As long as Lawlor returns at the back I dont see us conceding many goals. Bradford who currently sit 3rd in the table have a horrid run of games which would help Cardiff out even more.

Love that. “Add a pacy striker”. This isn’t champ manager with the data editor. If we signed Declan Rice we’d smash them!!

Stockport County defender Jack Hunt has left the club after his deal with the Hatters came to an end.

The 35-year-old had joined Stockport on a short-term deal in November having been without a club after leaving Bristol Rovers last summer.

In total, he made 13 appearances in all competitions for Stockport, most recently turning out in the 3-2 win against Rotherham United on Saturday.

"We thank him for his contribution during his short time with the club and wish him well for the remainder of the season," the club said in a statement on Monday.

Stockport County midfielder Owen Moxon has joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances for the Hatters this season, with his most recent appearance coming against Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy last week.

He joins a Latics side who are just one point above the League One relegation zone.

"I am absolutely delighted to get the deal over the line and sorted," he told Wigan's website, external.

"We're only halfway through the transfer window, so I'm happy to get in and get cracking straight away.

"From speaking with the head coach and friends who have connections with the club, it fits with where I am, and it's something I'm happy to be a part of."

Moxon began his career at Queen of the South before moving to Annan Athletic, where he made 116 league appearances.

The Englishman then moved south of the border to Carlisle United, where he made 82 appearances before joining Portsmouth in January 2024.

He played 15 times as the south-coast club won the League One title but moved to Stockport after making 12 Championship appearances for Pompey the following season.

Don't think Stockport is the game to do that. Only we have conceded less than them in away games.

It'll be a tight game but hopeful we have enough to get another big win.

I'm hoping we at least grind out a draw today. Would love to win but if Wintle, NG and Turnball are missing (all of whom are in good form), I think we'll miss them and may struggle.

Stockport are a battle hardened side with a very good manager. They would have done their homework so think they'll keep us at bay today. I'd be OK with a draw and aim for the 3 points Tuesday.

On the way.

Another win would be massive today but won't be easy against a Stockport team that are very good away.

Strong start from City on the right-hand side. Perry Ng dances into the box but is ultimately stopped by three converging defenders.
